Hi guys I am new here. I just got into water gun as I was trying to find a decent one for my 6yr old.
First we bought a Super Soaker and it was defective, we looked and looked and today at K-mart we finally got him a WW Tiger Shark and I got myself a smaller one called Stealth(Water Attack, by Maksco Toy Ltd)(http://www.maksco.com/).
His Tiger Shark is just awesome, I know there must be a lot of better ones out there but this is our first good water gun compared to back in the days of $1 clear plastic ones.
My Stealth is cool but it kinda leaks when I pump it up, and water drips I guess where the piston pump is at. Is this a normal thing? How can I fix/eliminate this?
Also anyone else has this Stealth Water Attack?

I've actually never heard of the Stealth Water Attack. It's interesting how many of the water guns featured on the Maksco website look a bit like water guns from Super Soaker though.
Leaking at the pump is probably due to a poor seal. Perhaps you could try removing the pump rod and adding some lubricant to the O-ring or whatever is used as a seal. Silicone lubricant should be sufficient if you have any, but anything will do.
Oil-based lubricants generally aren't the best as they can degrade the rubber, but I haven't noticed anything bad happen on any water gun, and seeing as the seal is already a bit iffy, an oil-based lubricant won't hurt.

Hi thanks, was wondering if there is anything I should watch out for when I open up the water gun? Any tips? Where can one find those silicone lube for o-rings? I mostly see silicone spray but haven't seen those grease type. Also the shaft for the pump is not a regular cylinder type its more of a "cross" like if you cut it in half its the shaper of a +. Will try to open it up and see if anything can be done.
I also saw Super Soaker Max D-5000 at toys r us, are these good?

^Never knew they were still being sold. IMO those are fairly nice guns as pistols. While they're somewhat noisy (stream, trigger, and pump's valve), they have pretty much the largest reservoir for pressurized reservoir guns. You may get slightly better performance on other smaller PR guns but the difference isn't significant, if any.
If you want the power, have a look on ebay for the old guns, or at least, try out a flash flood or arctic blast. For the FF and AB, having a drill is recommended for enlarging the small nozzles on there, which will improve output and range through those nozzles. You can also remove the screens on the large nozzles with a screwdriver and/or scissors.

I'm not sure where you can get silicone lube if not at the hardware store. The spray should work just as well though.
Chances are the cross shape is only on the outside, molded into the case. I'm thinking the actual pump tube is round and hidden inside.
Max-D 5000s are nice, light water guns - I like them. The triggers are somewhat unreliable, but they'll probably be good enough.

Yeah I know I though I heard all these old Super Soakers were out of production but you know what, I was surprised to see them at Toys R US!!! they had the two pack of Max D5000s as Toys R Us Exclusive for $15!!! Also at Dollar General I saw a few bigger Super Soaker guns, I think they are also Max D line too...for like $8 - $12!!!
