Based off the eBay-thread, it dawned on me, perhaps might be fun having the membership place their best guess on what a soaker auction will end up closing at.
For the first one, we'll be looking at the CPS 2000 Mk. 1 auction.
Though it is selling with its box, this soaker does look used (it is no longer attached to the box and its sticker is slightly peeled). That said, if in working condition, this is still a beauty of a soaker.
The bid at the time of this posting stood at $50.99 USD. Only one closing bid estimation per member. The one with the closest bid without going over the winning bid price wins (bragging rights at least!
)
Auction End time: Apr-30-06 20:15:00 PDT
Soak on!

I guess $202.50.
The auctions going to be good, watching the bidders fight over getting ripped off bigtime.

Alright, after watching The Price Is Right for about an hour, my best guess is now $224.51.

Just so people aren't placing their guessing up until the last moment, I plan on closing this thread ~Wednesday next week, well before the auction ends.
I'll re-open it to post the winning bid and name the winner.
I'm guessing $235.

I have no clue what the CPS 2000's are going for now, so I'll go for a conservative $150.00.
Do I win one if I guess it right?
abusing the ellipsis since before you n00bs got here

That's a little too conservative. :p CPS 2000 Mk. 1's without the box are well known to go over $200 in springtime, and this one has the box, which could increase its value 20% or more.
iSoaker, are you allowed to change your guess? And can I wait until the last moment to guess?

Uh, as I said above, I'm closing this thread on Wednesday. People can change their guesses until then, but can only give one guess. Two or more guesses will be disqualified.
As for winning, the winner gets the first ever Soaker Price-Is-Right champion title! WOOHOOO!!!

The CPS 2000 is up to $202.50. Whew! With that in mind, I'll put my guess in at $276.50. I may change it later.

I'll change mine to $265.86, if that's still acceptable.
