Hello, there!

I'm looking for the most durable, portable, good output soaker that's out there right now. Just don't post any thing about 'getting the old CPS's', most likely I'll never find one.

You have a couple options out there. The Aqua Pack Devestator is a very good backpack soaker. You could get the Flash Flood which has a 1X nozzle, but has a thing up top that allows you to empty the whole tank in a larger nozzle. OR you could get a new Blazer in the water warriors line (not super soaker). If you look carefully you may even find a CPS 4100. There are still a couple stores with them in stock. Hope this helps.

If you don't mind building, try a homemade water gun! I can guarantee that it will be up to your expectations or beat them, more likely the latter. Check out my site and my site's links section for more information on building your own water gun. ;)

Other than that, try checking a lot of stores, you may get lucky and either find a good water gun from this year or an older water gun.

i got a CPS 4100 in my armory, but I'm looking for a blaster from the STE 2005 line.

I like the Flash Flood, but i heard it had some trigger problems. Also I'm not the handy man kinda guy :P, and making a homade water cannon is a first, same with modding

The Flash Flood is a good soaker when it's working. I don't know how prevalent the trigger problem is, but as my own Flash Flood has had problems, I fear it is more widespread.

Water Warriors Blazers and Piranhas are also good soakers that use CPS-like technology.

BTW, welcome to the board!

How can you fix the trigger?

A rubberband trigger mod is the easiest way to fix a messed up Max-D trigger (same type as on flash flood).

The APD is a good soaker, too, with a really comfy backpack (though the over-the-shoulder fill doesn't quite work as smoothly as I had hoped. good concept, but so-so execution). My main complaint about the APD was the pump seemed to lag a bit. As well, I tend to prefer hand-held soakers over backpack ones since I like being able to quickly swap soakers if needed (and that's just a little more involved if dealing with a backpack soaker).

I'm not sure about durable because I just got it, but the Water Fun EX 630 Is great! 40 foot range, 3 feet long, at least a 45 second shot time, it's got it all!

The FF's main nozzle seems small, even if it's almost a 2x, and with the trigger problems:( the ADP's has lag when pumping. Hmm..I really dont know what to get.

Okay I've finally decided: I'm gonna buy the Flash Flood. Maybe after a fix, a CVF, and removing the mesh, this will be a indeed a good summer. :holidaysoak: :bringiton: :flashflood: :flashflood:
