I was in K-Mart today and sighted the first Storm in two years! The NEW Storm 500, redone in different colors and styles. It has a more solid feel that the old one, and has an improved grip. I'll get stats as soon as possible, maybe as soon as this afternoon. On Monday, I'll probably compare them head to head with the 2001 Storm 500.

Storm has now sold from Trendmasters, Inc. to Jakk's Pacific Corporation. From what I know, you should be seeing more new Storms in the very near future.

Jakk's Pacific

Bring it on! I'm ready for soaking!!!

Jakks has been putting out Storm retreads every year since the 2200. That was the last year of new stuff and they've just been doing recolors ever since.

I sure hope so, but I'm not holding my breath. Kmart, Shopko, and Walmart all have their watergun stock in and only Storm 500s have shown up - at Kmart. Nothing else nowhere else.

I've done a couple of Storm reviews. Will do a bunch more when time permits.

Okay... (almost a month since last post in this thread) ...has anyone seen any new Storms, or even recolors of old ones? Originals covered in a thick mat of dust? Anything??

What! About two or three months aho I bought a Storm 1000! I didn't know that Storms were thought of as extinct!

BTW don't use the Storm QFD. They don't work and your Storm will most likely if you try to use it.

Storm 1000s are old.

I've seen the new 500. Same as the 610 (I believe) from 2 years ago. Nothing spectacular, but the packaging is new, as are the decals, which means SOMEONE is taking an interest in marketing these guns.

Why, It works fine on my storm.

K-Mart around here still has a bunch of recolored 500's I didn't get to check for a while, so they might have more that I didn't see as yet.

Currently there seem to be a goodly number of Storms on eBay. I haven't got any, yet, mainly because the soakage-to-cost ratio has impressed me.

EDIT: Board's 9999th post...
