Limited Hands-On: Nerf Super Soaker Double Drench

Post by isoaker » Sun Mar 02, 2014 2:12 pm

For those interested, just posted some pictures of the Nerf Super Soaker Double Drench along with some limited statistics.

I'll eventually get around to writing up a review, but like the Nerf Super Soaker Barrage, I'm not bothering removing this water blaster from its packaging at the moment. For those who don't know, the Double Drench is a pump-action water blaster that features two sets of nozzles that spray out three streams each. Given the pump volume is only ~19mL (0.67oz), each of the streams gets to push out a little over 3mL (0.1oz) each.

If they call that a "Double Drench" just imagine how bad a normal Drench would be.
Why do they even bother with warning labels for these things?

Revised warning: Do NOT shoot at eyes or face. Product does not produce enough water to flush out any possible irritants or provide cooling and/or cleansing to any meaningful degree. :goofy:

I actually found that shooting myself in the face with the Scatterblast was quite enjoyable on hot days.

It has enough output to be useful for that? Amazing performance for a NSS. You'd probably get more output from the hole in the cap though. xD (And even if you don't, it still outputs more than an Electrostorm.)

The best way to use a NSS is to unscrew the cap and wrist-flick the blaster.

Does Super Soaker have a facebook or twitter page or something? If so, this is what I would post:

Super Soaker used to make the best water guns in the whole world!
Now they barely spray water at all. Maybe they should be called "Super Sprinklers".

I didn't feel like this warranted a new topic.

This year the Scatter Blast has a new Mark with 5 nozzles (the 4 four angled ones, and a new slightly larger one in the center.)
If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity. :oo:
