lets start with a CPS 4100. What would you do to it to create the ultimate soaker?

Speaking in terms of modding there is much you can do:

1) Collosus mod
2) Check Valve Freeze
3) Nozzle mods/drilling
4) Misc. Reinforcements (internals, pump rod, ect)
5) Backpack/capacity mods

Most of these mods are on my site, SSCentral. The _section here has a pictoral Collosus guide (called the pressure chamber modification I believe). I'd suggest you check out the section and look at Project CPS 4100i, iSoaker is recording every step he is taking in modding his CPS 4100.

Thanks, and I just had this really cool idea. Attach a laser pointer near the nozzle for aiming!

That idea has been thought of before. It's ok, but even at night it's not very effective. My reccomendation is to use a 6-8 inch long piece of 1/2" ID PVC as a sight if you need one. You won't need anything too expensive or fancy for a Super Soaker.

Bad idea. A water gun isn't exactly accurate nor long-range, it'd be a waste of money to put a scope or a lazor on top of it. Now a WBL is a different story.

Don't forget the cosmetics. Camouflage is also a good thing.

And as for the backpack mod idea, I've found that Camelback™ backpacks are ideal.

You could start by adding the QFD nozzle that they removed when transforming the 2001 Monster into the CPS 4100.

A lot of things can be done to a gun to enhance its performance. However its good to modify one with good power, size, shape, and capacity. All of these elements can be changed. All the mods here stated would and could work, yet to get at it to put a Monster QFD in, youd have to do a little bit of surgeory.

Well, I would start by taking it apart. Maybe a collosus mod, then some reinforcements, backpack mod, the usual.

You could also make it lighter by unscrewing the black tubes on the soaker that are cosmetic only and unscrewing other useless parts.

I don't think it would make that much of a difference concerning weight, but the only thing the plastic does is get in the way. I guess that's a good idea.

You don't need to. Just stick the 8.5x nozzle into the qfd for a quickfill.
I'll bet my first soaker was worse than yours.

You need to stick an O-ring on the nozzle first. Otherwise, you'll get really wet. :goofy:

It sounds like it would keel-haul and backfire the gun. Ill test that out this weekend to support you if it indeed does work.

I'll also be testing that... I'm surprised that I never thought of that myself. :goofy:

Back with my report. I have stated that the Hypothesis is INCORRECT.

pulled out my Monster XL Quickfill, and tried this out with one of my CPS 4100s. However I must say it was a hassle, and I ended up getting all wet just from trying this experiment. You are half correct, but technically your original idea failed when tried it.

You need to make sure your nozzles are locke into place, and good. One wrong twist of the nozzle and water goes spurting everywhere. While I did get it to work eventually, it will not open the back vavle to fill the resevoir. It will only filly the CPS Bladder for me, uselss if it didnt give me a full shot, which it did.

So technically, it wouldnt be of much help, but if your near a quickfill with a 4100, go for it. Just be warned its much easier to fill by hand.
