Post by isoaker » Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:45 am

Water Warriors @ Buzz Bee Toys Inc section has been updated for 2008!

More information on the new blasters, albeit still limited, as well as pics of all the new colour schemes now online.

Soak on!

A round of applause to Buzz Bee for getting away from bright, primary colors! Nice job. Everything looks good, but that's what stood out to me.

No Scorpion? I haven't kept track of the 2008 water guns threads, so tell me if you guys already knew they were discontinuing the Scorpion.

The coloring has become more intricate...I don't really like it much, especially on the Pre Chargers.

Me, I had no idea that they were discontinuing the Scorpion until seeing this year's line-up. Seems like the Tarantula and Jet are the only present current motorized offerings from Buzz Bee Toys. I do hope that the missing Scorpion will have a replacement down the line, but only time will tell. The Scorpion's a great, novel blaster, but was perhaps a little heavy-set for some and not receiving as many general recommendations, thus not selling as well as others, but I'm just guessing. :goofy:

As for changes in colouring, some look slicker, IMO, some look stranger. I'll give 'em credit for experimenting with new colour combos, though.

The Avenger looks pretty good upon closer reading. A piston gun with 3 nozzle settings that are just easy to turn, unlike Hasbro who like to make things stupid with that sort of stuff.

The colours are sort of alright, I really like the Krypton's colours though. Even though like I said I most likely won't buy any new blasters, I think this year Water Warriors with what they have pretty much walk all over the Hasbro crap.

I like the look and the principle behind the new WW: Chameleon. The refillable spare tanks make it to be what looks like a great backup gun.

@cobralex297: while the Chameleon would make a good little back-up, it's not new; it's been available since 2006. :goofy:

Pardon my ignorance, thank you for correcting me! I'm disappointed in myself.
Eek. I guess I'll have to do some boning up on the WW line...
