The CPS 1000 would definitely be the best water gun listed. Great range, power, size, and capacity. You can't go wrong.

A lot of people are impressed by the Flash Flood's blast, but I was disappointed by it. That's a lowly 11X of output according to here. We've got more than that from a stream nozzle on a lot of water guns.

The Blazer has a great selection of nozzles, but isn't too powerful in my experience. In fact, the nozzles are it's only strength as far as I'm concerned. While other manufacturers were focusing on gimmicks and forgetting about usable features, Buzz Bee Toys at least didn't go backwards in technology.

Just a note to any manufacturers reading this: There's been nozzle selectors since the Classic series of Super Soakers. Don't go backwards in time by not including them. Seriously, it's only going to cost you pennies to add one, and the usefulness is unmeasurable.

I null voted however because I wanted to see what others were thinking. Too bad there was only one vote!

I just added the fourth vote for the CPS 1000, and the others have none...it's a shame you null vote when you want to see the current results, but hopefully this will help.

As Ben said, the CPS 1000 is the only soaker that really carries a punch. I suppose the Blazer and perhaps even the Flash Flood are okay, but why use those when you have classic CPS tech on your side?

I really want a cps 1500, 2000, 2500, or 3000 or splashzooka. No one will help me though.

So was my Flash Flood a waste of money?
And thanks for voting, now I know.

Please don't double post. Edit your previous one to include your new message, next time.

Firstly, it's real tough to get those soakers. You have to pay through the nose. They can go for hundreds of dollars.

Secondly, the FF isn't a waste of money. Just because is has nothing on the old guns doesn't mean it's not a good gun for today. Readily available, good power for its size, good balance in your hand, and CPS tech. Compared to all the crap Hasbro has been putting out, the FF is KING. :D

The 1000 iis the best of the bunch, followed by the Blazer, with the FF bringing up the rear.

Oh yeah, welcome aboard. We hope you enjoy your stay.

The cps 1000 is an excellent gun. It could very well be my favorite gun. IMO getting a FF is an okay idea because every-one talks about it and it's good to have an opinion, so I would not say it was a waste of money.

1000 Definitely. I have both the Flash Flood and the 1000 so I know what their like.

The Flood is good, especially as a back-up, but given the choices, i'd say go for the CPS 1K.

I haven't tried a blazer nor a 1000 but checking the stats here, the flash flood has the highest water mL per second output, though it's effective range is lower. The stream pressure is probably not as much either. Get it only if you can't get anything else, it's thin stream is nearly useless unless you drill it.

Actually the smaller stream is pretty good if your using it as a backup blaster.

Well any other gun could produce a small stream, and those guns are more compact. The liquidator seems to be a good backup and for scouting, though I've never tried one but I heard it works well for it's size. If the FF is being used as a backup and only the thin stream will be used, then you might as well use a smaller gun. Really the small stream is more for conserving water while "teasing" an opponent (warm water fits here) unless it's a 1HK or even a soakertag game. If the gun is used as a backup, then the FF nozzle should definately be used along with the small stream. Since I don't typically use the large blasters (the cannons mainly, such as the 2000 or 2500, neither of which I have), I dual wield whenever I can and the flash flood makes a good gun for either hand. (I didn't make any clips and don't really have any materials to so it's better if I DW)

Since you have all 3 guns try dual wielding the 1000 and the blazer and make a clip for the flash flood, using the FF upon close encounters. If juggling guns around isn't your style, then you might want to use the 1000 as a primary and the blazer to back you up.

Yeah, this is an old topic. Anyway, I returned my Flash Flood and Aquapack due to some problems, and bought a CPS 1000 for the same price. It is so much better!

One time I went to this picnic. It was one of the many 100-degree days we've had this summer. Anyway, I brought my 1000 and 2000. I used my 2000 only to show off. :goofy: Two other teenagers had these Flash Floods, and were soaking all the kids. I brought it my 1000, and totally soaked them. I had range, shot time, and capacity advantages. I totally owned both of them. The kids viewed me as their savior. :;):

I still don't get why there couldn't have been made a CPS 1000 instead of a Flash Flood, for cheaper. Only 2007 will tell, but I don't expect much until 2008, and I'll be in college then.

Well sorry for the late reply, anyways, someone else used the bladder of the flash flood for experimentation, including sticking it on an enemy hose, pressurizing it, and letting it stay there. I may get more of the FF's next year just for trying that stuff.

I also kind of dislike the Max-D triggers, I imagine they're more expensive, and for less price and better performance, they could use a stronger CPS bladder as well as a better designed nozzle(s). Oh well, at least the FF makes a good backup/shotgun though it could've been more, and it's small size was a plus.
