FF Object Launcher - Easy. Really easy.
Okay. I recently took off the screen on my flash flood, and noticed the hole looked about as big as some 1/2 in. PVC. So I cut a piece and put it in. Perfect fit. I soon discovered that you can shoot smaller Nerf darts, foam rockets, paper darts, and giant Pixie Stix out of it. Pixie Sticks? Yeah. I took a giant Pixie Stick, cut it in half, and wrapped some tape around the end for weight. It shot about 100 ft.
Anyways, this would also make for an easy multi-nozzle mod. I might go out to ACE and get some endcaps and such. Also, as a side note, the PVC in the barrel slightly extends shot time, but hampers range, so it's not very good for the riot blast, IMO.
Have fun!
***EDIT: I made a mistake, it's 1/2"CPVC, not 1/2" PVC. I'm correcting this now in case some people don't read to the bottom.

If you go through with a multi-nozzle mod, you could extend the range of the riot blast by improving the lamination of the stream. The mod does that for you if the nozzle is cleanly drilled, or more so if you use a conical nozzle. Can it shoot batteries? AAs fit great in 1/2" PVC, my nerf homemade can put them through a wall...

AA's in 1/2" PVC? They don't fit. Unless you mean AAA's, but they're too small, and don't shoot good. Why would you want so shoot a battery through a wall, anyways?

Sorry for reviving a dead post, but it turns out what I was using was 1/2" CPVC. Sorry about that.

Removing the screen is actuaally bad for whatever stream lamination there currently is. It's there to improve lamination because the width of the holes is much smaller than the width of the entire barrel, so you're shooting many clean streams instead of one big one. Don't do that.
Forget a nozzle drill on the Flash Flood if you want greater output; here's what you do. You do something like what Rook did, but all you do is add 1/2" PVC and a 1/2" male adapter to the special nozzle. Then, you can drill as many female threaded endcaps as you want, similar to in homemades. This is pretty much the multi-nozzle mod at SSC.

Nozzle drilling works good, though. Mine gets like 2.5-3x at almost 40 feet for five seconds. I don't quite remember, it was a while ago. I love it. This was my first nozzle drill (my second was on my Defender), and it's a lot easier than it sounds.

I know it's a lot easier than it sounds, but it's almost always better to do a nozzle selector. Even on guns such as the CPS 2100 that would be fine without one, using a nozzle selector allows you to have a variety of shots and one of them will probably have the best aperture for optimal range. If you have a choice, don't mess with the primary nozzle.

This has been desputed... several times. I believe it helps on CPS guns, where the screen is intended to laminate, but the screen on the FF is probably meant to break the stream up.
I have removed the screen on my FF, and it does get better range than it did with the screen in.
Perhaps it does restrict the range...and perhaps they just use the screens because of tradition, not because it's been proved in the Flash Flood. However, I know very little about the soaker, so I'll admit that you're probably correct.
Either way, a clean homemade nozzle--of the right size--will blast away any stock one except for ones that have been tested for range. I just wouldn't change the primary...

The vast majority of the time, a multi-nozzle mod is done to a gun which has only a primary nozzle. It can also be used as a repair if you mess up a nozzle drill. So I wouldn't think drilling or multi-nozzle modding a primary nozzle would be much of a big deal. To date, I don't think anyone has managed to screw up the mod, which is so user friendly that you have to try in order to screw it up.
I personally would remove the FF screen. If the lamination goes down, I would nozzle mod it. If the lamination improved, I would nozzle mod it also.

My mod also makes a rather nice on-the-go water balloon filler.

Yeah, I've never tried filling a water balloon with a soaker before. It would have to be a multi-nozzled one of course, like my MXL. You could just slip the baloon onto one of the nozzles...Rook wrote:My mod also makes a rather nice on-the-go water balloon filler.

Yeah, it's simple enough, but I had just never thought of it before.Duxburian wrote:Any nozzle that sticks out can be used to fill water balloons. It's an ancient trick, although isn't used as much as it could be.
