Online advertising prices are continuing to fall as supply continues to massively exceed demand.

The average price of 1,000 page impressions for a European website is currently E20 (£12), according to Jupiter MMXI. Last July the price was around E30 (£18).
The survey estimates that between E60m to E70m (£36m to £42m) worth of advertising goes unsold every month, with typical publishers only able to sell 40 per cent of their advertising space.
Declining ad revenues have been blamed for many of the flurry of website closures over the past year.
Many companies are now turning to 'performance-based' marketing techniques, charging clients not by page impressions but by the number of clicks generated or volume of goods sold.
i'l see if i can find more laterIt pays to have Friends like these.
NBC expects to reap $70 million from the final night of Friends, thanks to advertisers who are shelling out $2 million for 30-second spots.
That's a record for an entertainment show, and just shy of the $2.3 million price tag for Super Bowl time.
The sitcom world has not seen such hoopla since the Seinfeld farewell in 1998, when 30-second commercials went for $1.7 million.
NBC has sold out nearly all the spots for the Friends final episode, set to air May 6, capping the show's phenomenal 10-year run. Advertisers ponied up the big bucks because they expect more than 30 million homes to watch Monica, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross, Rachel and Joey one last time.
The ending of the series has been shrouded in mystery. Key scenes of the final episode will be shot Friday without an audience.

Also living in the New York Metropolitan area, there are several other major channels available for broadcast cable such UPN (United Paramount Network), WB (Warner Brothers), and PAX TV. If you want the most recent ad pricing, you should call the companies, but since you're in Austrailia, you'll have to pay up for international. Also, the companies might not take you seriously if you aren't the head of company that wants to advertise, so I'd leave it for Big Bee to know the pricing.

Warning! You're about to see real kids having real fun with real Super Soaker Blasters!!!111one
Should read more like this:
Warning! The seven year olds are completely taking over Super Soaker, scrucking it up with the weakest guns since the classics, and rewarding the Soccer Moms by taking away CPS! Better get started on eBay before all the good guns are gone!
Edit: I just realized something. WTF is real kids referring to? As opposed to what? ... Fake Kids? *shudders*

Soccer Moms (or Mums in the UK, I guess) are young childrens parents. They got their name because it seems like every frickin' little kid in the US likes to play soccer. They are generally overprotective, wifes with rich rich men, drive wasteful SUVs, and spoil their children. They are the ones generally to blame for complaining to Hasbro about guns being too violent, too powerful, or too real-looking. I might add that they're generally not very responsible about supervising their kids. *rolls eyes*

Also, the soccer moms have a large hand in the domination of most industries by near monopolies. Their unwillingness to stray away from mainstream products has done this. Once some companies become true monopolies and prices rise and quality declines, consumers such as soccer moms will see their mistakes.

I know,it would be better if they advertised some better soakers but at least it will inspire people to buy better things than squirt pistols.

Good point. Hasbro needs something that will inspire consumers to think bigger and think more powerful. Most recreational industries advertise bigger as better so why can't Hasbro go back to Larami's "wetter is better!" slogan?Triforce Elite wrote:I know,it would be better if they advertised some better soakers but at least it will inspire people to buy better things than squirt pistols.
