I'm new. My kids recently got me into this hobby. While eating at Jack in the Box one day, they had miniature working models of Super Soakers. I let my kids (5 and 3) play with them in the bath tub and they had a blast. We were at Target a few days later and they wanted to look at real ones. I wound up buying some for them and then it was on. We're out in the back yard just about every day running around getting wet.

Over the past month, I've increased my armory a bit. My 3 year old can't really handle any of the CPS soakers, but he does really well with his Vaporizer. I bought a Flash Flood for myself and an Arctic Shock for my wife. My oldest son usually steals my FF and leaves me with the second Vaporizer or the Max D 2000. Little does he know that I got him an Aqua Pack Devastator for his birthday on the 26th. Also, his grandparents bought him a CPS 4100. I can't believe how good he is with these things at 5 (almost 6).

We've been having so much fun that, at the last minute, he decided to change his birthday party theme from Spider-Man to Super Soakers. We're going to have about 15 3-6 year olds running around our back yard with these things. I don't think I'm going to have enough guns for everyone to use, tho.

Anyway, I look forward to posting with you all and hopefully soaking up some of your knowledge about water warfare.

Welcome to the boards! We hope you enjoy your stay.

A super soaker themed birthday party...if only I'd thought of that years ago... :blues:

welcome to the forums! and as for blasters, just get a bunch of xp 270 twin packs (get 7) it will cost 140 dollors at 20 for each pack, they should be easy for the little kids to use. :D
so they'll go around squirting eachother, while your son drenches them with his cps 4100. (i find it hard to imagin a 6 year old running around with a cps 4100 lol) :goofy:

Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone!!! I went to Target the other day and noticed that they were having a pretty good sale on Super Soakers. I picked up 2 more Vaporizers, 2 more Max D 2000s and 2 Max D 3000s. That should be enough for everyone who is coming to my son's party on Sunday to play with. The Vaporizers and MD2000 were $2.50 each. I figure every kid that comes should be able to take one home as a party favor.

Welcome to the forums! Yeah, I'm slow... :goofy:

That's a great price! Heck, I'd pick up some if I had a Target near me (but as I'm in Canada, 'tis a LOOOOONG way to the nearest Target). Oh well...

Nice cake. Lol I wish I had gotten into soakers that young i'd probably be able to beat the other people in my water fights (usually everyone teams against me unless my friends are there which hardly every happens)

Sounds cool. I went to a similar party a while ago (celebrating the release of Star Wars episode I) and it was awesome.

I'm not too keen on three-year-olds using Vaporizers, (really hard to get a good range) but if it works, its fine, I guess.

My Target doesn't have CPS 4100s :( That leaves me without a powerful CPS gun while I'm fixing my 3200. I hope they get them in at some point, there wasn't even a price sticker.
