CPS laminator changes for '98
So, I now have two CPS1500s because my '97's pull valve is OOC...I'll tear it apart this winter. The other is slightly different: nozzle cap has a different style to it with areas marked "5x" and "10x", reservoir cap is "small ridge" grip vs "large ridge", but the main difference is the blast from the '97 is stronger due to it using the tube-type laminator. The 1998 version has the "swiss cheese" plastic block which is more restrictive. This also applies to my CPS3000, 2500, and 1000. Does anyone have pics(or know) of versions(97s?) that have the tubes/straws?
Re: CPS laminator changes for '98
I haven't heard about differences in the laminators for the 1998 CPS series before. The marks guide I have does list performance differences but does not attribute these to the laminator. I'd recommend posting pictures of what you do have when you get the chance.
I do recall seeing photos of the laminator of a 1500 or 1700 before, but I can't find any right now. I know that the screens in the laminator sometimes will rotate out of alignment, causing wild spraying. But from what you say it sounds like there's a mark that won't have this problem, but will have reduced performance.

According to Hydrowar, laminator block can do that as well.SSCBen wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 8:47 amI do recall seeing photos of the laminator of a 1500 or 1700 before, but I can't find any right now. Apparently, the Hydrowar site has a number of internal pics. And odd ones too: how about a XP110 with see-through PCs that are the same plastic as the reservoir? There are several of a 2500 that has straws inlet side and tubes outlet, no plastic block. Not the uniform tube setup of the 2000, its in a configuration closer to the "swiss cheese" laminator for both sides. I wonder if that is a '97 and what country its from?
