The XP105's PCs
Does anyone know why there are two different sizes? Are there any internal pics? Thanks
Re: The XP105's PCs
Welcome to WaterWar.net!
I haven't seen an explanation of why the XP 105 has different sized pressure chambers. The patent iSoaker lists in his review mentions "tanks 188 and 189" (referring to fig. 2), but never says that the tanks can be different sizes as far as I can tell. I'd speculate that the different sized chambers were made for reasons of balance (putting more weight closer to the handle) or styling.
I haven't seen any internal pictures but I'd expect the internals to look similar to the linked patent, which isn't specifically for the XP 105 but is for a blaster of that class. You can also see some photos of the XP 150's internals here, but the flash makes it hard to see parts of the internals. Someone else might have more useful information on this.

I guess I'll find out soon: got one off of eBay. Does the pump cap come off fairly easy?
Re: The XP105's PCs
My guess is no, you'll have to do something similar to what's done in the XP 150 link I posted above. But do report what you find, and please post photos here too for others in the future.

NM, Hydrowar has pics that answer the question(and its what I suspected): bad design for the gauge connection. And damn, that pump is quite big.

Where are you reading that on Hydrowar? I didn't see that written on the XP 105 review page.

Google "super soaker internals", then use image section.SSCBen wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 8:03 amWhere are you reading that on Hydrowar? I didn't see that written on the XP 105 review page.
