Or maybe not, but even if this is just leftovers from what the company couldn't sell I would pick up on it. Dick's Sporting Goods is selling Storm 800s or 850s or whatever for $15 this summer. Performance wise I would go with my Arctic Blast for the price, but the durability of these blasters cannot be understated. I would purchase several just for this very reason. Even if it's just for fun battles around the yard, to pass up on this opportunity would be a bad idea.

Wow!
I didn't know that those were still available!
Well, you are definitely correct in that the durability of these guns can not be exaggerated. Although they may be a little lacking in the power department, it certainly isn't that bad, and they are definitely, as you stated, fun for the occasional fun fight, where competition isn't important. They are perfect for this as they're a gun that you can beat the hell out of without repercussions. It is necessary, though, to do a check valve freeze if one wants superior performance.

Power isn't really that bad, they shoot maybe half a meter less than most Max Ds. And the good thing about Storms is that check valve freezes are safer/longer lasting on them than they are on super soakers.

I loved my storm blaster, It was better than my max-d 6000 at anyrate, at least it shot straight lol, my max d's nozzle wasnt alligned or something and then soemthing failed and it just leaked and diddn't shoot. My storm did none of that, the only reason I ditched it was becasue I thought I lost the cap for the pressure chamber (ITHAS 2 CAPs), but then I found it later and felt very bad :(
