Yes, the guns are waterproof. If they weren't, I wouldn't think they'd even make them.

I know that this is not your question, however I'm going to put my 2¢ in:

Battery powered guns cannot hold up well in a fight. Their negative aspects:
Low power,
Low range,
Low durability,
They need recharging,

... These all far outweigh the positive aspects, which are [as i know of them]:

Decent Shot time

Oh, there's only one there.
Basically, for the cost of buying an electrically-powered gun,
(i think they sell around 39.99)
You can get a far better gun on ebay or in stores.

To each their own, though. You should get what works for you.

Uh, most Water Warrior blasters are NOT battery powered; only the Scorpion and Tarantula require batteries to operate. The rest need to be pumped, but many also have electronic pressure gauges.

The gauges are fairly waterproof, but even if they did fail due to water entering the blaster, this would not stop the water blaster from functioning otherwise.

In terms of pricing, most Water Warriors blasters are $25 or less.

Not entirely true, the Water Warriors Scorpion while not being the best is from reports a good gun. Power that is comparable to a CPS 1000 which is pretty good, good range (well for today's standard at the moment anyway), good shot time, good output and no reports of any breaking yet means that it's not all doom and gloom in some aspects for battery powered guns.

However, that doesn't mean to say they don't have disadvantages, which they do, mainly the noise and recharge time like mentioned, however everyone's taste in what they like in something is different as again stated before.

EDIT: iSoaker pretty much covered the battery aspect.

I apologize, i was responding to his question about buying a battery powered gun.
I then proceded to become extremely tangential.

Edit:
I was also referring to the electronically-powered guns, when I described the price as being 39.99. This is just what I have experienced.
