Manufacturing defects?

Post by the oncoming storm » Thu Sep 04, 2014 8:14 am

I got my 250 yesterday, and pumped some air into it as expected pulling the lever back released a hiss of air. Later however when I test fired it it was dripping water from the back casing and dribbling down my arm. Today when I opened it I discovered that some of the fittings (3 in fact ) were not completely sealed and applied some epoxy putty to fix it.

Has anyone else ever seen a manufacturing defect that affected use?

also I was surprised to see that it has a PRV, and uncommon Chamber mounts that put piping inside (barely) and outside a friction fitting that don't use an O ring.

I will get internal photos for people to use in websites as soon as I can find a camera.

Wow, no o ring? So if you used epoxy putty how are you going to be able to disassemble it?

Ben the internal tubing is glued together from the factory, they had just done a bad job of it on mine.

Still looking for a camera...

Sorry, for some reason I was envisioning you gluing parts like the pipes to the reservoir. Some guns, like the XP 110 and the original XP 70 have pipes that can be taken apart. Instead of being glued together they have O rings. It's pretty cool.
