Swim Ways, who makes an electronic target vest (I actually have one, should've reviewed it some time ago but oh well, it's useless for us anyway), has released a number of blasters this year that you think you'd only see on eBay.
Then there's the usual overpriced NSS junk. The vent hole in their caps are at the same size (or larger) as/than some of their nozzles! The nozzles aren't as small as the ones on the Swim Ways blasters (those look to be 1x or less, about squirt gun nozzle size), however, which are all pressurized reservoir. (Or at least their solid caps strongly suggest that they are. Didn't get to try the pumps.)
Then there's some squirters and the usual Kaos stuff. I ended up just buying a Kaos WBL. I may try their water balloon pumper and balloons themselves later on, as I've found previous Kaos water balloon products to be of reasonable quality compared to some other brands I've purchased water balloons from. Nothing like the stuff DX used, but at least they'll burst on target lol.
Next time, I'll have to look at Meijer for the water warriors stuff. I'm a bit surprised they're stocking water toys this early considering the winter we've had.
There, that's my quick review of this year's Target product line. Pretty much all you'll ever need to know.
Edit: Perhaps the Swim Ways CPS-inspired blasters might be usable after plugging the PRV and drilling out the nozzle. I wouldn't expect that to last long though. Build quality just keeps getting worse these days. It is a bit strange that Nerf went with such a sh*tty cap design for some of their new blasters, while still maintaining pretty good build quality. Guess that's how they got to sell them on shelves first; by giving them a "premium" feel before the user can tell that those blasters are going to soak them more than their opponents.
