Water Warriors Charger

Post by ArColone » Mon Feb 10, 2014 1:15 am

I just saw a Water Warriors Charger at Kmart.com. I believe this is a new model for 2014.

Link to the page.

Interesting. Judging by the looks and price, it seems to be a large-ish PR gun. The description says it has two different nozzle settings. It may be comparable to the Python 2.

Neat! I wonder what the volume is on the res. As far as styling goes, I'd have to say I prefer the P2 or C2, but no one seems to know about the performance on this one yet.

"powerful nozzles, less pumping!"

looks like they took the lessons learned at duelfest to heart

Nice find! Would be nice to find out how well this blaster performs; my hope is that it will be at least as good as a Python 2, but time (and testing) will tell.

On the bright side, it IS an air pressure water blaster; not just some pump-action or motorized water blaster.

That is pretty awesome. It showed up at KMart of all places. This is why I used to go to KMart a lot back in the day, I'd always come across some rare gems. They had XP 150s, CPS 1000s, XP 110s, 600s, and a lot of other guns back in 2000 or maybe it was 2001. In 2006 I think it was they were selling XP 20 double packs.

I think the Python 2 was pretty impressive, and that's coming from someone who's typically against pressurized reservoir blasters of that size.

Charger is also available on Wal Mart Canada

Does anyone know if these are actually in the stores or just listed online? Kmart.com won't let me place an actual order for one.

My bad. Kmart's mobile site is quite clunky, so I missed it pretty easily.

Anyway, looks like they're scaling down the PR's, which should reduce the pumping required when they start to run dry.

The $15 price tag is concerning though. Hopefully it's just merely inflated temporarily, but it doesn't look like that's the case.

When I first saw "Less Pumping!" I immediately thought of spring PCs like those in the Pulse series. Unfortunately it's probably just a pressurized reservoir. Meh. At least it's not like we had high expectations. (At least I didn't.) Though maybe someone will find a good use for it, and if it shoots far it might be a good weapon for younger players like marauder's nephews.

It could have Python 2 type power with a larger pump, but 30 oz for the capacity kind of limits its potential. The Python 2, XP 150, Colossus, Colossus 2 all have at least 50 oz. It sounds like a candidate for reservoir expansion mods. Depending on the actual performance, then you'd have a strong, light primary. I'm still hopeful that BBT has a medium primary in the works, the world has plenty of light primaries.

Yeah, 30 oz runs out quick, even on the 70 with only 1X output. It should hit full pressure quickly though. Maybe this is gong to be sort of like the XP75, a fast charging PR.

Kmart now lists the Charger on sale for $14.24 instead of $14.99, but it's still listed as unavailable. Lol lol lol, that doesn't make sense.

Looks like the WW Charger is a dual chamber system, at least according to BBT. Looking forward to testing this one!

Sounds like marketing speak for separate reservoirs! I guess that sells it for me!

Of course, the photographer could've just angled the shot so as to make the top of the cap visible, so that we can tell...

I'm gonna miss the C2/P2 pistol grip with the backstock though. I've taken a liking to those after those 2 blasters and the Stampede and other N-Strike/NSElite blasters.

Well! That's certainly good news. Maybe I'll actually pick a couple up this season for loaners or practice/skirmish weapons. That is if they actually can hit 40' and the output is decent (more than 3X PLEASE). I'll wait for the reviews.

While 30oz capacity isn't huge, it is roughly the same as the old Super Soaker Defender that also had a separate pressure chamber.

Of course, how much output this one can actually push remains to be seen.

So then, BBT has updated their site. I think this confirms that this is the only significant new blaster for 2014.

Gorgon is still listed, that's good news. The Charger looks promising.
