I am not often near any K-Marts (the only time I am near one is when I am at my local LEGO User Group's meetings, but now that I have a class on Saturdays it will be a couple months before I can go to one of those again.) Still though, so long as it doesn't have pour performance, I will pick one up if I see it just for the styling. - Best water gun styling I have seen since the old Monster series. If it performs as well as the Python 2 I might even get a couple of them! Will have to see though, might have to get rid of some guns before I buy to many new ones.

Well, it looks like the Charger might be doing something new after all - some sort of PR/PC hybrid. It actually looks really cool.

This would be neat if it were true, but I'm waiting until someone or myself actually has one in their hands for testing.

Sounds like an element of Max-D Secret Strike, with some more stuff going on around it. I have to agree with iSoaker that it needs real-world testing to validate the design though. The blog states that a hiss of air is released at every trigger pull, which sounds very wasteful, but there may be something going on that we're not aware of.

I really didn't understand that article about how the system works. I did however understand the important part: it blasts better! I really want this gun now...

If that's actually how it works, that's really cool. Not sure whether the system is truly practical though. It may be no better than PR.

We don't know that for sure though. This stuff is not battle-tested yet. That said, BBT wouldn't invent a new system without good reason, so it's got to have some level of advantage even if it's just a one-time thing. (And it's nice to have some innovation here once in a while, especially considering how rarely that happens.)

I just checked the buzz bee website, this is the only new blaster of 2014. Moving on.

The Charger is the only new pressurized blaster for 2014. These are also new, but not as exciting for the community. Then again, even those could probably keep up with most of the 2014 Nerf Super Soaker line... :oo:

It's better from a cost savings perspective to focus on one good blaster at a time, although in this case, we still don't know how well the WW Charger performs.

Perhaps I'll try to make a run to Meijer today to see if I can pick one up and review it.

I got a good look at the WW charger in Kmart today (I didn't buy it though). Overall it's solidly built, and I'm sure a little front heavy when loaded but manageable. However my brief look revealed that the only thing new about this is the styling, it's just a plain Separate PC blaster.

Lol. Interesting! Sounds like this could possibly be a smaller version of the colossus with better nozzles. I'll probably have to pick this one up!

Well at least it's separate PC. Apparently it's just a redesigned Renegade.

Thanks for the insight! I suppose the question becomes - how BIG is the PC? From there, we would know expected shot times, probable output levels, etc. Hohpefully it is around the size of the Super Soaker Defender's PC of ~150mL (5oz).

Did you get to check the nozzles?

You were supposed to buy and test it for us so we know how it performs! (Just kidding.)

So it just uses a regular separate air-pressure PC? Dang, I was hoping for a piston PC system or whatever was illustrated in the patent. Are you sure it just has a regular PC? I mean, it would make sense, but I just want to be 100% certain. I guess the best we can hope for is for it to eclipse the Defender in terms of usefulness as a sidearm (should definitely be more reliable). But I'm still a little annoyed 'cause there are more than enough sidearms on the market and I never use them anyway. Give me primaries, dammit!

The Charger's two nozzles are stream and a burst-type setting as seen on the Python 2 and Colossus 2. The pressure chamber makes up that upper long black portion of the blaster. I'm guessing it holds 90-120 (~3-4oz), though it is going to be tricky since it seems that the PC works best when the nozzle points upwards.
