$5? You can get a Nerf Super Soaker Zipfire for $5. Gremlins are much bigger (and plastic prices have jumped a LOT over the past few years).

I found a couple reviews online (including on this very forum) saying that the Gremlin was $5-$8 (saw one person say he got his for $2 at a Wal-Mart on clearance).

If the difference between $8 and $8.99 is a make-or-break for you on the Gremlin, the Gremlin probably isn't worth your money. The Gremlin has been around since 2005 - I wouldn't be surprised if it used to retail for $4.99, but that was 9 years ago.

The WW Shark is on Amazon for ~$9-$9.99

The thing about the $2 Gremlins was from 2 years ago.

Surprisingly, the Shark is available from Toys R Us for $6, although I've heard it's superior to the Gremlin.

Then wait for clearance and see what you can get it for by then. It is only February. Blasters can be 50% to %75 off retail price for clearance sales.

Depends on where you live. I imagine up north it goes sooner, but clearance down south is usually September, October, November.

Nothing :goofy: . The only thing different was the stickers on the products, (Interestingly enough though walmart has restocked the old WW gremlin)
How much were the Gremlins?
Gremlins were $10?

I believe I saw Sharks at some stores a few years ago in two-packs for $10. I don't think an individual Shark or Gremlin is going to be that much, but it depends on where you look. Amazon tends to be overpriced on water guns from what I've seen. If it is that expensive, you should probably go with the Hornet or Cricket two-packs.

Clearance is around August where I live.

Clearance is late August to early September up here in MI. You really have to figure out/guess your local stores' seasonal schedules. I've seen blasters appear as early as March though.

Although since you're in MD, I'd simply suggest getting a CPS and attending Soakemore this year. Community water wars are a ton of fun, and this one takes place near the DC area.
