Hello
I haven't played with Super Soakers in a long time

When I was really into them and played with them I had a couple of SS50's, the SS30s with the holsters, I think even the slingshot and the extra tanks on the belt. Then I pretty much lost any of the friends who I played with them with. I remember always wanting the SS100

I also remember owning an MDS, SS300 and maybe the SS200 although I don't remember ever really playing with them

Anyway I'm looking for a new Super Soaker just for the hell of it, I'm not planning on playing any serious wargames or anything like that (don't even know anyone to play with em with), just something that's on the market and could be fun.

I was thinking maybe

Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately, the links you've given only direct others to the generic Toys'R'Us landing page and not to specific products. Can you let us know the names of the blasters you were looking at?

For general water warfare use, there are a good number of stock soakers that will likely satisfy your needs. Of course, we'd also probably try recommending blasters that would not just be fun, but could also perform well if you ever chose to try out something a little more organized than a typical soakfest.

Soak on!

Oh right right. Anyway, sticking with only super soaker:

basically there was the MaxD 5000 two pack for $15 as well as the green/yellow secret strike http://hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=brow ... t_id=18749

i also see the arctic blast, but it looks as if the little pump thing might feel weird.. and break off http://hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=brow ... t_id=18746

MaxD5000s are decent, light soakers. I can't comment much on the Arctic Blast as I haven't tried one, myself. However, I wouldn't suspect the pump thing would break off unless it were really hit forcefully. I'm guessing it behaves similarly to a Flash Flood, speaking of which, I'd recommend a Flash Flood, too, if those are available to you. If you can find a Max-D6000, those are also rather good, light blasters.
That said, you might also want to consider some of the non-Super Soaker brands as well, notable Water Warriors by Buzz Bee Toys Inc., but do understand if you do have a brand preference.
