I'll add XP 250 vx XXP 275: 15% XP 250 to my bets.

SS 300 vs CPS 3000 I'm going to agree with Belisaurius here, the CPS 3000 is better, if only because of the trigger— aiming should be much easier. ~10%
Colossus 2 vs XP 150 I think I will go for the XP 150 here, though I think it will be close because both have similar things going for them. ~2.5%
Colossus 2 vs Colossus The Colossus gets my vote here because of its slighly better stats across the board. ~5%
Colossus vs XP 250 Once again, the Colossus gets my vote, here because of its mobility and trigger. ~7.5%
Colossus vs XXP 275 The Colossus here has the same advantages here as against the XP 250, but I think slighly more so. ~10%
XP 250 vs XXP 275 This one will be really interesting. I think that that although the XP 250 will be better than the XXP 275 against the Colossus, the XXP 275's strengths, such as wider coverage with the two streams, will come across better against a slower and similarly akward gun, getting it my vote. ~2.5%
Colossus vs Gorgon The Gorgon's extra power and output get it my vote here. ~7.5%
Gorgon vs XP 250 I belive that this one should go faily easily towards the Gorgon. ~15%
Gorgon vs XXP 275 As above, the gorgon should have no problem here. ~15%
Gorgon vs CPS 4100 I think that the advantage of CPS and a design that is easier to aim with gives the CPS 4100 the edge in this duel. ~5%
Squirt Pistol vs Electrostorm I think that no matter how much we put down the Electrostorm, it is going to come away with the biggest win of the match. Ten minutes of shooting a squirt pistol in an intense duel is going to start to hurt. ~25%

The matches that I am really looking forward to the results of are the Colossus vs. Colossus 2, mostly to know if the Colossus 2 would be worth the buy, and the XP 250 vs. the XXP 275. The Colossus vs. XP 150 is intriguing as well, as the XP 150 was considered the best versatile air pressure gun for a long time. I don't think the XP/SS 300 will stand as much of a chance as some others do. However, I make these predictions having seen none of the blasters in real life.

I finally tested my second 300. Not that I did a full testing of my first 300, but it's good to just get a general feel of the gun's power. After testing so many guns over the past 2 months I can tell you that wind makes a HUGE difference in range. Even just the slightest bit will deter almost all non CPS streams.

So here's what I got with my second 300 just now, 33 feet, then 48 feet, then 41 feet. Temperature is 37 F. Humidity is 65%. Wind was crossing my shots laterally at 5 mph. I have a second testing center which is an undeveloped neighborhood with no houses, just tall pine trees on either side which block most of the wind. I bring measuring devices, camera, tape, etc. out there, but it's much quicker to just test outside my house.

I plan on doing more testing on the 300s. DX is bringing both of his, so we hope to do range (with no wind), output, and shot time tests on all 4. Unfortunately he forgot his 3000's backpack (he's at Scott's right now)... so we are going to have to go to the hardware store and see if we can engineer something up because I really want to have that fight.

*Edit*

There is no wind. I just did 2 more tests. Hit 50 feet both times, with heavy spray landing up to 55 feet. And I mean heavy spray like you just got hit by a Monster X's shower nozzle. The 300's stream is so volatile. It practically explodes out of the nozzle. Very much like the Flash Flood, and yet so different at the same time. It's amazing that this gun is so powerful, and yet a little 5 mph wind from the right direction could limit the range to only 33 feet. The 3000 is not this powerful, but it is also not nearly as volatile or temperamental.

The wind affects K-modded guns just like this. When testing my heavy 12K in less than 5 MPH wind, it shot 39-42ft in the normal direction and 49-50ft the other way. It was also very cold, in the 20s, so the combination of temperature and wind might also play a role. I'm leaving MD to come down to NC shortly.

A bit late, but asuming DX only left my house this afternoon I doubt they have done the battles yet.

SS 300 vs CPS 3000 --- I think the SS 300 will win, better range and probably more mobile as well. [SS 300 10%]
Colossus 2 vs XP 150 --- Probably the XP 150, though the only one I ever held, let alone used is the broken one DX just gave me. [XP 150 5%]
Colossus 2 vs Colossus --- Colossus 1, the 2 has a better balance but is harder to pump and runs out of power much quicker. [Colossus 5%]
Colossus vs XP 250 --- Colossus, much less cumbersome/balanced, and better range too. [Colossus 20%]
Colossus vs XXP 275 --- Again probably the Colossus, the 275 has an amazing output, and the shower nozzle is amazing, but having one myself (now traded to Marauder), it is awkward to use and has limited range. [Colossus 20%]
Colossus vs Gorgon --- This one was tough, I just flipped a coin then made up a number. [Gorgon 4%]
Gorgon vs XP 250 --- [Gorgon 25%]
Gorgon vs XXP 275 -- I don't really think this would be much diferent then the one above, the 275 has more spread then the 250, but the range difirence between it and the Gorgon is so vast I'd be suprized if the Gorgon even took a hit. [Gorgon 25%]
Gorgon vs CPS 4100 -- That coin again [Gorgon 10%]
and Squirt Pistol vs Electrostorm -- The Electrostorm is worse then I thought, I put some heavy duty batteries in the one DX has and it still got 15ft at 45 digrees [Squirt pistol 2000% :P really though I'd have to say 95%]

Don't know if these will be used, but a lent Duxburian a few last minute entries:
Water Ball ML 100 vs Electrostorm [Water Ball 90%]
Spray Bottle vs Electrostorm [Spray bottle 50%]

I really look forward to seeing how this turns out, and I wish I didn't have school tomorrow or else I could have come with DX.
On another note, DX and I went scouting at some of the local battle grounds yesterday, he has all the pictures, but Carderock and Sycamore Island have even more potential then I had thought (and I already thought they were good). I will have to host a war this year to hold battles at both! Will make a post for that war soon, but have to sort out a few things first before I'm sure it will work.

Doesn't GJIV have both the CPS 3000 and the SS300? If so, he'll probably get that one right.

Wow, today was amazing. We went hiking/battle site scouting this morning and then fought all afternoon. Some amazing results coming up, but we won't be posting them until tomorrow. Here's a few things we've learned so far: When 2 guns are very similar it will be a very low scoring match. If 2 guns are different there will be many more hits made. This is because strengths are pitted against weaknesses.

We will be doing the following matchups tomorrow:

CPS 4100 vs XP 250
CPS 4100 vs XXP 275
XP 150 vs Colossus
XP 150 vs Gorgon

Make your bets gentlemen!

*edit*
It would probably be a lot more accurate if you picked the score rather than the margin of victory. I mean, NOTHING was as close as 5%. So... here are all the battles. Sorry about not doing it this way first:

Colossus vs Colossus 2
XP 250 vs Colossus
XXP 275 vs Colossus
XP 150 vs Colossus 2
XXP 275 vs XP 250
XP 250 vs XP 150
CPS 4100 vs XP 250
CPS 4100 vs XXP 275
XP 150 vs Colossus
XP 150 vs Gorgon
CPS 4100 vs Gorgon
Gorgon vs Colossus
Gorgon vs XP 250
Gorgon vs XXP 275
SS 300 vs CPS 3000

Re: Duelfest!! Tournament

CPS 4100 vs XP 250: CPS 4100 25%
CPS 4100 vs XXP 275: CPS 4100 20%
XP 150 vs Colossus: Colossus 12%
XP 150 vs Gorgon: Gorgon 18%

I will redo my previous scores, also. Don't pay attention to my previous score predictions.
Colossus vs Colossus 2: Colossus 8%
XP 250 vs Colossus Colossus 13%
XXP 275 vs Colossus: XXP 275 7%
XP 150 vs Colossus 2: Colossus 2 8%
XXP 275 vs XP 250: XXP 275 9%
XP 250 vs XP 150: XP 250 15%
CPS 4100 vs Gorgon: CPS 4100 30%
Gorgon vs Colossus: Gorgon 15%
Gorgon vs XP 250: Gorgon 15%
Gorgon vs XXP 275: XXP 275 10%
SS 300 vs CPS 3000: SS 300 15%; The SS 300 because it has better range, probably better maneuverability, and less pump times.

Unfortunately we were not able to do some of the rounds. DX forgot his 3000 backpack and we couldn't find a way to make a new one in such a short time. The 4100 pump broke during its battle with the Gorgon. The XP 250 started pump firing. Here are the results by gun:

Colossus 2 (0-2)
Colossus 2 loses to Colossus, 1 to 2
Colossus 2 loses to XP 150, 2 to 6

Colossus (1-5)
Colossus defeats Colossus 2, 2 to 1
Colossus loses to XP 150, 3 to 5
Colossus loses to XP 250, 6 to 11
Colossus loses to XXP 275 5 to 9
Colossus loses to XP 150, 2 to 6
Colossus loses to Gorgon, 1 to 6

XP 150 (2-2)
XP 150 defeats Colossus 2, 6 to 2
XP 150 defeats Colossus 5 to 3
XP 150 loses to XP 250, 4 to 11
XP 150 loses to Gorgon 6 to 10

XP 250 (2-1)
XP 250 defeats XP 150, 11 to 4
XP 250 defeats Colossus, 11 to 6
XP 250 loses to XXP 275, 3 to 4

XXP 275 (2-1)
XXP 275 defeats Colossus, 9 to 5
XXP 275 defeats XP 250, 4 to 3
XXP 275 loses to Gorgon 1 to 3

Gorgon[ (4-0-1)
Gorgon defeats Colossus, 6 to 1
Gorgon defeats XP 150, 10 to 6
Gorgon defeats XXP 275, 3 to 1
Gorgon defeats CPS 4100, 3 to 2
Gorgon ties CPS 1000, 3 to 3

CPS 4100
CPS 4100 loses to Gorgon, 3 to 2

CPS 1000
CPS 1000 ties Gorgon, 3 to 3

For what it's worth, the 4100 vs Gorgon was a very very even battle. The 4100 broke during the match while the Gorgon was ahead. I can't say that it still would have won in the end if the 4100 hadn't broke, but some guns are just more durable than others, and that is something that definitely matters. Scores don't show the full story, but the Gorgon really put a beat down on everything without the prefix "CPS." Y'all were predicting 5% margins of victory. The Gorgon averaged winning by about... 65%. Much more detailed analysis to come...

So here's how everyone did with their predictions:
Neptune 7-1
Scott 6-2
GJIV 6-2
atvan 6-3
Fishfan 5-4
SEAL 4-4
Oncoming Storm 4-5
Nemesis 4-6
Belisaurius 2-7

So, Neptune wins! PM me about what you can choose from for your prize.

I really want a Gorgon now, haha. How's the lamination on it by the way? Most of the results are fairly predictable, though I am a little surprised at how poorly the Colossus did. I think it outranges all the guns it went up against except the Gorgon (though once again, I have no idea how far the 250 shoots). I don't think I need to bring up the lamination issue again. Hey, what about the Electrostorm battles? I'm sure we're all dieing to know how those turned out.

That's kind of why I was a little hesitant to make percentage predictions. I had know idea how offensive you guys were going to be; I assumed that most of the rounds would be very low-scoring, because well, that's how duels have been in my experience (though then again, most (if not all) of the duels I've been in have been OHK).

So which person got the most kills?

We didn't write down how many htis each of us made. Reason being, we wanted this to be 100% about the guns and we wanted to take away all incentive to dispute a hit. It helped things go a lot smoother. I will say this, DX learned he is a lot better with the 250 than the 275. There were a lot of little lessons to be learned to, some relative to our fighting skills, some about the blasters only.

Here are the max ranges I got:
CPS 4100 42 feet
CPS 1000 40 feet
Gorgon 40 feet
Colossus 39 feet
XP 250 averaged out at 38.4 feet
Colossus 2 estimating 36 feet
XP 150 tested a lot of 150s but not DX's, estimating 36 feet
XXP 275 36 feet

In terms of lamination, I think the Colossus' primary problem is low output for such a high range. A 1.5x blast has a lot more likelyhood of falling apart at 40 feet than say, even a 3x blast. Neither of us used the Gorgon on any of the smaller nozzles, so it's hard to really compare. We only used the 3.5x/4x (depending on how you rate 1x) nozzle, the "quad" burst nozzle, and a 10x nozzle which we drilled out of the smallest nozzle the night before. The 10x nozzle has a range of 36 feet, which is well below the 45 foot range of the 2500/1500, but compared to XP 150s, Colossi, etc. etc. it was brutally devastating. Whenever we were hiding behind a tree or a wall about 35 feet or less from our opponent it would be very common to switch to the 10x nozzle, turn the corner, and rush our opponent. Just a massive stream that would not break up and would hit anything in its path. At longer ranges DX primarily used the quad burst and I used the 3.5x/4x.
