Mains Fed Water Cannon

Post by Andrew » Fri Mar 30, 2012 8:43 am

Has anyone else seen these before? I've only recently seen these around. Surely it can't reach 100ft on mains pressure, even if you live in an area with an incredibly high pressure mains water supply?

In their own video the stream seems to barely reach 40ft before breaking up.

That was about the worst ad I've ever seen in a long time. Plus, for that much money you can build something much better. (At least in the U.S.) http://www.sscentral.org/homemade/vhs.html

So it's an oversized garden hose nozzle with a tripod. Whatever.

I was intersted by the claim of 100ft and was thinking of getting one to find out. The advert definately put me off!

I could always make a tripod for my SCH instead (at 5kg empty, it might be worth it!). At least I know it can fire more than 30-40ft. :goofy:
