I would think the hornet, as it is a small gun, and can be easily hidden, it would make a good sidearm. The Flash Flood is mainly a primary, unless you get a CPS 2000 or CPS 3000/3200. The Arctic shock is just a waste of money, as most people say, because with the Flash Flood, you can just put ice cubes in the resevoir and let it sit for a while

What type of sidearm are you looking for? Special use, dual primary, or small arm? What you plan to use it for makes more of a difference than the actual gun itself.

Then I would not go small arms, no way. Try to find a gun at about the same power level as your Blazer. Any weaker and you'll find yourself driven back or struggling to hold against guns that your Blazer easily dealt with.

The Flash Flood is mainly a primary, unless you get a CPS 2000 or CPS 3000/3200.

Those aren't the only CPS's that can outdo the FF. In my opinion, every CPS (and hydropower) gun out there can outdo the FF.
Back on topic I'd go for the hornet or FF. If you have money to spare get the FF because you can get a decent shot with 2-3 pumps.

If you are being cost effective, go for the hornet. It is probably the cheapest of the 3 guns you have up there.

That sounds like a good idea, but if the hornet you de-nozzle changes for the better, do the exact same thing to the other one.

Max-D 3000 at Target. The best sizearms I've used. It's teeny, but gets at least 35 feet! You can practicly put it in your pocket. But of course, it may not be what you're looking for, if you want something bigger. But it can easily hold off a light CPS for the time it takes to get the the refil station. It works real well for me. And the stream is 2x, which is impressive for a 9-10 inch soaker.

"snap!"

"Oops, I guess it had a Max-D trigger."

Out of those choices, I voted Flash Flood (but only with a strap). There is no reason I can think of (unless you are a collector) that you would ever want to buy an Arctic Shock, especially since it is roughly the same size/shape as the Flash Flood. I like Hornet too, but certianly make a strap for it if you use it, otherwise it can;t see it ever working as a sidearm.

Personally, my choice sidearm is the XP 240. I really like its size and balance (plus it fits moderately well in my large pockets). The Max-D 3000 is very similar, so I'd reccomend that as well.

If you can find 'em, most of the Storm guns work wonders as holdouts. The 750, 800, and 1200 are all fantastic (and fantastic looking) guns. One of the smaller Pre-Charge guns by Water Warriors would be good, and it strikes me that the Splat Blast from the same line would also make a good backup.

The Water Warriors guns can be purchased at most fine retail establishments nationwide, esp. Kmart. The Storm guns can occasionally be found at Shopkos and Kmarts, but are mostly available through Ebay.

Although it's not too small, I think the scorpion would make a feat sidearm (if you have a strap for it), because you don't need to pump it, it packs a good punch, and it's fairly light.

How about the Argon? When the PreCharging and priming is truly well done, the range is incredible after only 3 pumps. It has excellent power for such a light and small sidearm, and is currently produced and available.

Well that is a good option, considering that the argon costs about half as much as the scorpion.

I believe they made the pre-charge thing 5 pumps now instead of 3. If it were on there, I'd recommend the Splat Blaster, as it is a 1 pump gun, unlike the others, which need more pumps, taking longer to reload
