I found CPS2000 from my garage

Post by durppa » Wed Dec 28, 2011 8:18 am

Hello,

I am new here but I had to register when I found this out. I was surfing on the web and ended up reading about water guns. Then I found out that the CPS2000 seems to be a rare and sought-after soaker by enthusiasts. I remembered I used to have one when I was younger so I did some looking in the garage and after all found it.

Here's a picture: http://i.imgur.com/C2Yh8.jpg

It seems there are two versions Mk1 and Mk2. According to this article (by the side of the stickers) I think mine is Mk1, is it so?

However when I have no use for it I think I should sell it, what is a good price for it nowadays? It is in pretty good condition. Few small scratches in the water tank.

Best regards from Finland.

Welcome to Waterwas.net!

While it is most definitely a mk. 2 (unless I'm just being spacey, wich is entirely possible), it is still a good gun.

Sometimes, these will appear on eBay for $300+, but rarely, if ever, sell at that price. If you want to sell on eBay, I recomend you wait until summer, when it will sell for more.
If you want to assure that your blaster is well cared for, there is a decent possiblility that one of the members here would buy it, if you offer a good price. :cps2000:

You'll get more money if you sell it on eBay. Wait until early summer, and you might be able to get $150 or more.

It is definitely a Mk2. Shorter pressure chamber gauge and Super Soaker sticker says Constant Pressure (some early Mk1's have reportedly "Air Pressure" Super Soaker stickers source 1 source 2. :o )

It looks in good condition! If you lived closer I may well have bought it off you myself! If you wnat to sell it, best thing to do is as previously posted. Ebay-summer.

There is always the option to keep it for yourself. The value of these will only go up with time, as they get rarer, and as modern blasters are less powerful.
