Water Guns / Water Blasters Forum Clean-Up

Post by isoaker » Thu Oct 13, 2011 11:52 am

With the conversion from iSoaker.net to WaterWar.net, a number of changes are being made to the overall arrangement of the forums. Based on thread counts and level of posting interest, I'm leaning towards removing the "Storm Guns" and "Other Brands" forums, pushing those threads into the "Water Guns / Blasters General Discussions" forum to reduce the number of forums in the main index page.

Any objections? As well, any other suggestions on how the overall Water Guns / Water Blasters section should be organized?

You could just merge all four into the main forum (leaving Marketplace separate).

That's a possibility as well. Would anyone miss having specific-brand-focussed sub-forums?

I'll start tomorrow merging the Other Brands and Storm Guns forums together with this one. I'll wait for a little more feedback about merging the Super Soakers and Water Warriors forums, too. It's much easier to merge than it is to need to re-separate so I want to be sure the membership likes that change.

I don't mind either way, the separate sub-forums do mean it's easier to find what I'm looking for, however I find it discourages me from posting a little (the extra 2 clicks it takes to go from WW to SS or vice versa are so inconvenient...).
So, whatever you go for, I'm fine with.

I like the way they do it on http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums there are subforums hidden within, but they are also listed on the main index.

I miss the old quick reply.

Edit- could somebody fix my link. I'm having a brain fart.

You're welcome -m4

DX had the idea of having a forum for discussing specific water blaster models. Sounds like a good solution and I woulld push the threads that were once in "Other Brands" and "Storm Guns" into that forum.

How's that sound?

Unless there are any objections, will be merging the Super Soaker and Water Warriors forums into the Specific Blaster forum by the end of today.
