Has anyone figured out a way to objectively mesure power in a gun? You could compare output and stream speed, but that is harder to quantify. I was thinking maybe a tap shot into snow or some sort of powder. The power is measured in the depth of the hole, in mm/cm. A powder like sawdust would be perfect, because the water could drain, leaving just the hole. Any thoughts? I will probably be doing something like this for my blog.

Power rating at iSoaker.com is described on the
iSoaker.com Statistics page. Biggest assumption on it is that streams are accelerated similarly which, depending on the blaster, is not quite true.
One of these days, I'd like to do some objective measuring of stream exit velocities, but that's going to require a high speed camera, a good distance marker system, and time to both take videos and analyze them.

Those make sense. I may experiment with different things.
