In stores now is about 11-12m, but the longest range to ever go in stores is about 15m.

I believe the Water Warriors Blazer has longer range than any other soaker currently in production. The Blazer shoots about 40 feet. The CPS 2000 has the longest range of any soaker ever in production. The CPS 2000 shoots around 50 feet. And I happen to own both... :;):

EDIT: If you want to find out more about these soakers, check the Armoury, where you can read the reviews.

so true, some guns that make the best range are
Max-D 5k or 6k, CPS 2000 and some others for snipers, and right now, I think that you can get 2 Max-D 6ks for about 25$ CAD (might only be Canada though)

Max-D guns do not have that great range. I can say that based on all the guns I've seen with better range, and I have owned quite a few Max-Ds in the past.

Guns with ranges of ~50ft or more [in no particular order]:

Stock:
CPS 2000
CPS 2500
CPS 1500/1700
CPS 2700
SS 300

Other: [So many of these can shoot 50ft or more that I won't bother listing them all].
Most power-modded guns
Most integrated guns
Most homemades
Most water cannons

Also keep in mind that ranges vary from gun to gun. A CPS 2000 could shoot 48ft, but the next one over could hit 55. Likewise, stock 2100s vary from as low as 27 to as high as 43, although mid-30s is the most common range.

I just got a Max-D 3000. It has exceptional range, 35-40 feet. It's the tiniest little thing, but very nice. I am probably going to make a belt clip to use it as a sidearm. The 2x stream for such a small gun is very nice. But there are a lot of duds. I got a two-pack at Target, and both were duds. I returned them, and today got two packs (my siblings wanted some). The pack that was the same color as the dud-pack was was a dud as well, but the different color combination is very nice, having a beautiful stream and 35-40 foot range. You can't really compare the MD3000 to anything, because it is so small, and yet very good. I fought with my dud model (it didn't work that good, but OK), and beat my brother and sister, who had Piranhas.

The X-Stream Blastmaster 660 reaches 40-45 feet, upon average user. And its a current retail soaker.
