Hands-On: Water Warriors Gorgon

Not to be confused with the Water Warriors Gorgon (Hydro Power version), this is the air-pressure-based Water Warriors Gorgon!

As with the Sphynx, finally acquired the newest version of this blaster which has had its PCs changed from the original Hydro Power elastic bladders to dual air pressure chambers. As others have noted before, the chambers are separate, connected by internal tubing. The nozzle selector, at least on the model I have, also lacks the fan setting that the Hydro Power version had, meaning it has simple 5 differently-size stream settings.

The main question most have here, of course, is how does it perform? Answer: quite well, actually. While the Hydro Power version's largest nozzle was pushing almost a 7x stream (6.7x by iSoaker standards), the 2011 air pressure version is measured at pushing a solid 4x stream (124mL/sec or ~4.1 oz/sec). Available volume in the dual PCs was measured at 510mL which is less than the 690mL measured for the Hydro Power version, but still a decent amount of water available for your soaking pleasure!

Want to do a little more testing on it, though, but have posted pictures of the Water Warriors Gorgon for now.

it looks quite decent, even internally. one minor gripe though, they could have made the PC's taller internally (like the SS/XP 300), so that the same amount of area is appearing on the outside, but go further down on the inside. that would help it's PC gain more volume (and arguably more pressure!)

Just tested mine, quick five-minute test, nothing major, but I was really impressed. It's powerful, as a big air-pressure rifle should be, it packs a punch behind it. Range is good, eyeballing suggests it meets the advertized range. Capacity is high, this thing should last a good long while before refilling. Overall, I'm happy I spotted it on a discount
Isoak suggests that the Hydro-Power version is more powerful is his review, if this is true then find me one immediately, because this thing is rather beastly. It's definitely more powerful than my Orca.

I plan on buying one during my end of summer soaker buying spree where they'll be at least half off. I plan on picking up an Ultimate Outlaw, too.

^Yeah, the Gorgon is one my end of the summer shopping list as well. Seems like a great blaster from all the reports I've heard.

I bet you thought this topic was dead, NOT YET! I just looked at the internals on isoaker and it hit me the PC's are attached at just the right angle that you can empty chambers at 45℅ without mist shots how did we miss that? Also I saw a Gorgon at wallmart with what appeared to be a typhoon blast like the Colossus's was this defalght or a sigh of a different mark?

That's a good observation man. I can't comment on the typhoon blast cuz I don't have mine on me, but I think it's interesting that the Gorgon, which was rereleased and larger, has been so much easier to find than Vipers and Pythons.
