I have been hit after using the flashflood nozzle and having to pump and it isn't a fun experience. The 2500 would beat a FF any day. Besides, I would rather drag a 20x stream over my apponent accurately and controllably than use the FF's big nozzle and have to pump it back up right after.

Actually, the 20x stream on the 2500 lasts only slightly longer than the FF nozzle, but it is vastly more powerful. Even so, the point stands that such all or nothing shots are not really practical.

Am I the only one who finds it flawed that the 2005 soaker with the Large riot nozzle has a small tank and the 2005 soaker with the backpack has a very small nozzle? Well Hasbro, keep those genius combinations coming.

As for the coment on one of the earlier posts about the relevance of skill, while skill is great, it will only matter fighting weaker oponents. Fact is: There is always someone worse, there is always someone equal, there is always someone better. To have the best chances, the best equipment is needed. No professional is using mediocre equipment to beat other professionals.

I don't have a 2500, but I know any CPS cannon beats a FF. My FF broke, so it's fragile. The small nozzle doesn't shoot very far and has weak power. The big nozzle has low range, very short shot time, and it isn't concentrated, it's more like a spray. It doesn't have much force, even though it has a fairly high output. Since it has a low shot time and is a riot blast, you'll probably miss, then you need to repump. From what i've heard the 2500 has 3 nozzles, better range, capacity, and output. The 2500 seems better in all ways.

^ welcome to the board, 'freak'!

As for your FF, how do you know it's about to break? How does your trigger behave? The more I hear, sadly, it seems that there are many cases of FF trigger problems.

Are you referring to the stream nozzle trigger or the top-mounted FF-trigger (though I'm currently assuming you mean the normal trigger)?

The FF trigger breaks in many places, more than most Max-D triggers. The spring seems particularly fragile, but is easily replaced (springs from the original Max-D series fit, so I bought a few Max-D 5000 seconds for 50 cents).

I tried to avoid this topic but I have something. Not too long ago, I'd say about 3-4 weeks ago, The RM and WaterBridge had a battle on a dam in a very long and harsh war. The only person out of 5 of us who could hit the other team was Dux. He had his famous CPS 2500. The other team had Flash Floods, a XP 310, and a CPS 2100. No one on their team was able to get us without stupidity on our part (long story). They tried the small nozzle on the Flash Flood and that did nothing. They tried the Flash Flood nozzle and that did nothing! Dux was on his 5x and 10x during that one battle in the war and he was able to pick off people. I couldn't do anything! I also had a flash flood and was unable to shoot anyone. If you ask me, the Flash Flood is a good gun, but it is nothing like the CPS 2500.

I agree there. The Flash Flood is good, but nowhere near the 2500. I have 2 2500's and when you see their range compared to my Flash Flood the Flash Flood would have no chance.

It's good that you're excited about your new Flash Flood. I like meduim ranged combat better but ever since i saw the flash flood on the TV, i came back to the water warfare commuity. The FF can be a formidable light rifle if you mod it. I plan to CVF it for better range. But please, no need for comparisons like these where you compare a heavy machine-gun to a MAc 10.:)

Broncostar you are an idiot. The FF dosen't hold a candle to the CPS 2500. Try comparing them side by side.

Welcome Black Dog to the ISoaker Forums!! Enjoy Your Stay. Please don't call other people idiots it is mean. Ok Im puting my nice silver dollar in. The Flash Flood is respectable. Say Im pumping my CPS 4100 and My freind comes around and launches a Flash Flood Nozzle It feels like a Heavy Rain. The Flash Flood is respectable, and mind me for saying it but it is the ULTAMITE strong water gun for a little kid. Really how is a kid going to get a hold of a CPS 2500 and let alone hold it. In general the debate between the Flash Flood vs. CPS 2500 end in a test of user SPPED. Yes speed. Because anyone can dodge a Sniper Shot but it takes some one with speed to pinpoint that person and shoot them down. Its a test of Physical Power, Speed, and Reflexes. Case CLOSED.

Completely agree with you Black Dog. The CPS 2500 has higher output, better range and is light considering its size and power.

I've owned two FF's, and I can personnally tell you, their triggers break within 3 months! In a battle, I used my 2100 against a friend with an FF, I wiped the floor with him. We switched weapons, and he wiped the floor with me. (We're about the same skill.) The point is, the 2100 is much better than the FF. (unless your in a soakfest) Now, I've never used a 2500, but it is definately better than my 2100, so I seriously doubt that the FF is better than the 2500.
