Water Warriors Big Tank Review
The Big Tank is a piston soaker released by Buzz Bee Toys for 2005. As the name suggests, the main feature on this gun is the 'Big Tank': the 2 litre reservoir which is suprisingly large for a gun of this size. It is quite a simple design, the rest of the gun (pump, nozzle etc.) is just clamped onto the end of reservoir. An advantage of the simple design is the price: I only had to pay $4NZD for this gun (compare that to $16NZD for a Vaporizer) which means that you could buy a whole bunch of these and just hand them out to everyone at waterfights (unless they have something better, of course).
Being a piston soaker, this is your basic pump-and-shoot type water gun. One of main downfalls of this gun however, is the fact that the pump handle is very small. It is quite awkward to hold, and my hand often slips off while trying to shoot. Fortunately, the pump shaft itself is quite flexible which means that there isn't so much of a risk of snapping the pump when using it. Another drawback is that the pump handle is too close to the nozzle, which can result in water spraying all over your hand if you're not careful. The nozzle itself is a reasonable size, probably around a 1x-1.5x, and each pump sends out around 33ml of water. Quite suprising for such a small pump! The 2 litre reservoir lets you get quite a few shots out before needing to refill and has a large opening for easy refilling.
While I wouldn't recommend this gun as a main weapon in larger battles, it still is useful, especially if you have a few people short of a weapon and need something to give to them that is cheap and simple to use but still reasonably effective.
