Nibordude and I discovered today that the max-d 5000 can be used to fill water balloons! Just slip the balloon over the nozzle, shoot the gun, and pump while you hold the balloon. It then inflates with water. You can get around 5 balloons per tank and can use it anywhere. This is an amazing method if you are not near a hose, but need some water balloons. Try it out!

Other soakers like the SC500 and SC600 as well as Power Soakers, XPs and other Max-Ds have been used to fill water balloons as well. Large CPS soakers don't work so well due to the nozzle shape and force of water coming out.
The Max-D5000 has a more accepting nozzle for filling balloons with, I think, but it also depends on the type of balloon you are filling.

That's one of the advertised features on Stream Machines.

I'd prefer an official Super Soaker mobile water balloon filler (made in limited supply about ten years ago).

I just noticed something! Sunny D sports botters are perfect. They dont even have that sticky stuff on them once you peel the logo off.
