Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Well, I've had some activity.
Though technically not new (been waiting 3 years), I have almost completed my CPH and WW Lightning mod. Topics on SSC discussing them.
Also, while strolling through the aisles of Wal-Mart, I spotted the WW Gorgon on sale for $15, so I decided to buy one. I like air pressure and this is a big one.
Finally, I have an offer for some blasters online, waiting for a reply.

I got a Bandit on clearance for $5.

My CPS 2100. Great size, fairly light, and still packs a good punch. Plus, the tracked pump is so nice, and the gun pressurizes so quickly.

Picked up an XP 75 yesterday for $1. Works and looks beautiful. No scratches, easily 35+ ft, solid stream, shoots all day. Couldn't be happier!

I wish there were local garage sales here. (not many people, no children)

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
I plan to sell off most of my Nerf/Water blaster collection than go on a Nerf/Water blaster/Heroscape buying spree with the money. I The soakers I plan on buying are a Gorgon, and a Tiger Shark if I can find one. I'm also considering an Ultimate Outlaw, but I dunno...
Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
You might want to try buying on eBay. Youbcould get a CPS or 2. Let us know what you are selling.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
I'm only buying on eBay during winter time, as soakers are much cheaper during winter. martainshark said he saw a CPS 1500 go for $6. That's not a typo.
I will post link to what I'm selling in the Marketplace when I list them on eBay.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
I am working on adding a number of older models to my collection including a NIB Super Soaker 50 and some rarer items. Will post more on that once I have them in my possession.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Just acquired a Super Soaker Bow & Arrow NIB. No plans to fully open it, but can finally answer some questions about it. No, it does not use the string to give it power; it is air pressure. The interesting/odd thing is the trigger mechanism; it is the part that your pull back to pretend that you are drawing an arrow. Thing is, for better or worse, smaller than I initially imagined as well.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Cool. So you do not plan on doing range tests? Also, how does the bow thing work with air pressure? I'm confused.

Few more acquisitions made including a NIB Super Soaker 50, an alternate style Super Soaker 20, and a variant color Super Soaker 30 (en route).

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Just won a pair of pretty unique looking SS 50s from an auction on NH: http://nerfhaven.com/forums/index.php?s ... 21485&st=0
iSoaker, do you know anything about these? I can't find any data on SS 50's released in gold and silver. Evidently, they came from a toy fair in 1997.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Nice acquisition! I've got a couple of the silver ones (see Super Soaker Keychain images), knew about the gold one, but don't have one of those. If you ever feel like selling the gold one, let me know!DX wrote:iSoaker, do you know anything about these? I can't find any data on SS 50's released in gold and silver. Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Are they actually large enough to shoot anything, or are they just for show? I can't tell if the model contains internals or not.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
They don't shoot; no internals; no moving parts. Strictly for display.DX wrote:Are they actually large enough to shoot anything, or are they just for show? I can't tell if the model contains internals or not.
