As 2007 comes to a close, it becomes the right time to get the membership's feedback on their fav. soakers. This thread was not made a poll simply since there are just too many possible options to list them all. Instead, members are allowed to list up to three (3) soakers per category. The first soaker listed will count for 3 votes, then second will count for 2 votes, while the final will count for 1 vote. Members do not need to list 3 soakers for every category, but any soaker listed after the 3rd will be disregarded.

Nominations/voting will be open from now until Dec. 19. After that, votes will be tallied and final results will be included in the upcoming Rogue Report V02 I02.

To vote:
i) post your votes/nominations as a reply in this thread
ii) PM your votes/nominations to me
iii) email your votes/nominations to me

The categories are:
---------------------------------
1) Favourite new stock soaker of 2007 (Soaker must have only been released in 2007; recolours/rereleased older model soakers and non-stock soakers are not eligible)

2) Favourite overall soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)

3) Favourite pistol-sized soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model; soaker must not be much larger than an Super Soaker XP240; an XP270 or Max-D5000 would be too large to be classified as pistol-sized.)

4) Favourite air-pressure-based soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)

5) Favourite CPS/elastic-pressure-based soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)

6) Favourite pump-action soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)

7) Favourite soaker design (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model; based solely on looks/feel and not necessarily performance)

---------------------------------

Note: you can vote for the same soaker in multiple categories so long as it fits those particular categories (i.e. a CPS1000 could be one's favourite CPS/elastic-pressure soaker as well as one's favourite overall soaker and one's favourite soaker design as well).

Soak on!

By 'Soaker of 2007', do you mean soaker created and produced in '07, or like... soaker used in '07?

As I noted, it can be an older model. One's favourite soaker of 2007 doesn't even necessarily need to be one you're used this year, but it should be one that you have used at some point in time. The only category that must be selected from a blaster released for 2007 is the first one. I think I'll clarify the category titles.

I must have missed that, I appreciate the clarification. I'll take some time to think this over, but I think this is a really great idea, this vote.

Well, I don't know if I should even bother submitting for some of the categories since there are many guns I haven't tried out. If I should re-submit my nominations to limit to only guns I've used, let me know.

1. WW Tiger Shark, SS Arctic Blast, WW Orca

2. CPS 15k/17k, 12k, 10k

3. Liquidator, XP215

4.

5. CPS 1500/1700, 1000, 3200

6.

7. CPS 2500, CPS 1000

Btw, you might want to remove the "of 2007" for #6..

Edit: Oops, put MD5k for pistol, which was specifically mentioned as too large, changed it to XP215. (just because that thing is so darn small yet performs better than many of the cheap piston guns with similar stream size)

@C-A_99: Thanks for pointing out #6; it's now edited. As for your selections, while better if you do have hands-on experience, one can still have a favourite even if one has only seen others use it (or even just based on general measured stats). As well, you can vote for the same soaker in multiple categories (i.e. a Liquidator could be both in the pistol-size-category as well as the air-pressure-category)

I've only gotten the CPS 1500/1700 from the fact that most people seem to like it a lot for it's practicality out of all stock soakers. However, truth is, I kind of put the vote down a bit fast, having little idea of how a 15k would perform vs other guns. Still, I figured they'd perform better with a larger PC size. (and the physical size of the whole thing is still similar to the 1000's)

Might as well start adding in my own choices. I'll edit my post as more thoughts clarify on my selections:

iii) Super Soaker Sneak Attack

2) Favourite overall soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)

i) Super Soaker Monster (2001)
ii) Super Soaker XP215

3) Favourite pistol-sized soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model; soaker must not be much larger than an Super Soaker XP240; an XP270 or Max-D5000 would be too large to be classified as pistol-sized.)

i) Super Soaker XP215

1) Favourite new stock soaker of 2007 (Soaker must have only been released in 2007; recolours/rereleased older model soakers and non-stock soakers are not eligible)
-WW Orca

2) Favourite overall soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)
-XP 110
-WW Lightning
-APH (classic huge-ass one)

3) Favourite pistol-sized soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model; soaker must not be much larger than an Super Soaker XP240; an XP270 or Max-D5000 would be too large to be classified as pistol-sized.)
-SS 50 if it counts
-Squirt Pistol
-WW Argon (never used one but I've used a Xenon)

4) Favourite air-pressure-based soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)
-XP 110
-APH
-Max-D 6000/SS 50 (can't decide between them)

5) Favourite CPS/elastic-pressure-based soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)
-WW Lightning
-Heavily modded MI FF
-WW Blazer

6) Favourite pump-action soaker (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model)
-WW Gremlin
-PPP
-Squirt Pistol

7) Favourite soaker design (stock, modded, built soakers all can be nominated; can be an older model; based solely on looks/feel and not necessarily performance)
-CPS 2100
-Max-D 5000
-SS 300

As you may have noticed, I don't have any actual CPS's, which is why I have lots of Hydropower soakers on the list.
