I'm pretty sure he would have pumped it all the way - Hasbro wouldn't want their soaker to appear that weak in a commercial designed to promote it.

Jeez...I've never been so turned off from using a water gun. Near the end, those four people just standing in front of each others' streams...and near the beginning, the oh-so-pointless use of the sideways shot...

i think the only use for that is what they showed in the ad. and that is a gimmic that can be used on tv

Well, actually I think that the sideways shot is much more useful than the hidden nozzle on that horrid Overload remake. I have been in many situations that required looking around a corner and as a result of that, myself or another member of my team was shot in the face, and then finished off. And it allows you to keep well protected from any return fire.

the only problem with a sideways nozzle is the fact that its on a pump actions soaker. the way it's designed it would be hard to accurattly shoot around a corner while pumping.

Very good point. I think that "secret strike" soakers are cool for pranks and stuff, but on the battlefield they are pretty pointless. I mean, even with a blaster like the MDS, you can turn the nozzle to fire around a corner, but couldn't you just stick your hand around the corner with your regular blaster just as easily?
