For everyone who has a CPS 2000 tell me, I just wanna get an idea how much you got them for, not that I want to buying them or anything.

Got a Mk2 a few years ago for $80 + s&h. Decent condition - sunbleached and the pump needed to be reinforced - but useable. It's currently awaiting repair for a valve problem.

I paid Euro 15,- (US$ 20) for a Mk2 with some exterior scratches on the tank, rusted screws and a squeaky pump. The gun shoots without problems though 
. I got it from a local auction site, with far less exposure than eBay has. The only reason these guns reach such high prices there, is because the product is in demand and the gun is exposed to a global audience, of which some members definitely do not have a shortage of money. So unless you have about 200-300US$ lying around, your best chance of getting such a gun for a reasonable price is to look for it in more obscure places (alternative auction sites, garage sales, older friends etc.) Be creative! Concerning the fact that almost everyone on this forum is after a reasonably priced CPS2000, the chance that someone here will sell it to you is close to zero... Besides, the CPS2000, while an excellent gun in its own right, does have its drawbacks (the shot time for example). The CPS2500, though a tat less powerful, is a far more versatile and definitely recommendable. I have a CPS2500 that has almost the same range as my CPS2000, and on 20x releases a whole lot of water on the target (the 20x of my CPS2500 appears to have a bigger "dump effect" than the 23-30x of my CPS2000Mk2, which is cool 
). It also helps that the CPS2500 can usually be obtained at a far lower cost than the CPS2000. I therefore suggest that you look into this as well.

I paid about $100 for my CPS 2000 Mk.2. It is in beautiful condition, but the pump is a bit sqeaky. But other than that, it is wonderful.

I paid nothing for my CPS 2000 mk.1, but that was because it was
a) broken
and
b) my cousins
I just need to repair it and then i will own

I have a Mk1 but the trigger and the trigger valve are busted.

I paid about $70 for my Mk1 which is in immaculate condition, don't use it much, but don't get the idea I'm going to sell it because of that.

if the trigger & mechanism are broken on yours, then its worthless
Mine just needs some LRT or other flexible tubing, because the PC has a tear in it. I could use an Mk1 PC (another one) so that i could fix it

All I wanted was the PC, so that I would not have to spend money on LRT, as it can be pretty expensive, and mr.dude told me I would need 2 different sizes of LRT to equal the width of the CPS 2000 bladder.

That is interesting, but it would give you one hell of a kick if you were the one shooting it, as LRT expands 850% its normal volume. On sscentral, it is recommended that you replace the bladder cover with PVC if you do that.

I got my mk2 for retail when it first came out to this day, it still works!. I figure that due to old age, I should replace the "balloon" thingy inside of it. I'm not too knowledgable with soaker mods. does anyone have a comparison to the mk1?

No, not really. The user reported little or no noticable change in performance or recoil after the repair. It might be cool to know that LRT expands 850% vertically, but so do regular CPS bladder which in fact are simply more professionally cut pieces of LRT. Of course, knowing the CPS 2000, the gun already had plenty of kick and it might be a little hard to distinguish a difference between one strong recoil and another.
Larami restricted the expansion of the tubing possibly to extend it's lifetime, but we don't need to do that in homemade water guns and any case should be a little loose on the tubing for best capacity. However, no one recommended replacing the bladder cover of the CPS 2000 there. The cover is plenty strong already. If you wanted to do a PC expansion modification you could replace the cover with a larger diameter pipe, but the cover does not have to be strong to house rubber tubing.
Also, I'm quite sure that buying segments of LRT would be far cheaper than buying a new CPS 2000 or even a broken CPS 2000. There are minimum lengths that you'll have to order, but that still won't add up to any more than $30-35 including shipping. Well worth the cost of a repaired CPS 2000 if you ask me. You can use the extra length of LRT for something else like a slingshot or you could sell it to another member.
