Hi folks!
I work for a company that manufactures an unusual water toy called a Waterpillar (see http://www.waterpillar.net). It's a paddle boat that is different than anything you've seen on the beach. We sell our product to beach vendors (those people who rent out jet skis and such) and to resorts like Disney World, who rent them out to tourists.
I'm doing some research.
Right now we have an engineer assigned to creating a special water gun that we can mount to the 'handlebars' of our boat. This gun should be capable of sending a 'slug' of water at least 50 feet, and would have a tube that would extend from the gun, down the frame of the boat, and into the water. I'm wondering if anyone has seen anything like this already on the market.
I'm thinking that someone must manufacture these for rich boat owners...you know...so people racing in sailboats could squirt each other...but so far I've been unsuccessful at finding anything.
I can be reached at aebikurt@yahoo.com
If someone found a gun we could use, we'd be happy to pay a finder's fee.
Special Gun Needed!
Hi, and welcome to the iSoaker.com Forums!
I do recall seeing boat-mounted water guns before.
I found a link: http://www.jowatercraft.com/Accessories/Jazz.html, but it's actually not what I remember (plus it doesn't have stats).
Here's another one: http://www.escapewatercraft.com/accessories/pedal.htm
Perhaps they can be contacted. I'll keep digging.

If you mass manufacture them, the easiest thing would be to just get a powerful water pump that could do that. You could also use a pump to pressurize a chamber. If you used a really big ID pipe, then you might be able to shoot a riot blast type slug (you could use a valve that would automaticly shut off) 50 ft.
