WW Gremlin review - 3 reviews in 3 days!

Post by vaporizer » Fri Apr 01, 2005 10:47 am

This is my review of the Water Warriors Gremlin.

Capacity: 38 ounces
Range: 35' (not kidding!)
Price: $4.42
Style: Piston

The Water Warriors Gremlin is Buzz Bee Toys' response to the 2004 Supersoaker Vaporizer. The Gremlin is slightly larger than the Vaporizer, in three ways. 1. It is 1' longer than the Vaporizer. 2. The stream is larger, and more cohesive than the Vaporizer, despite having a smaller nozzle(figure that out). 3. It carries 3 ounces more water. I own both the Vaporizer and Gremlin, and this is what I conclude: The Gremlin would win in a 1 on 1 match. Thr reasons? The Gremlin has more range, the Gremlin has a larger resirvoir capacity, and the Gremlin's front end is big enough to use as a shield. The Gremlin has a shorter pump shaft, but is much easier to pump than the Vaporizer. I can get off 2 shots per second with the Gremlin, while I get 1 shot per second with the Vaporizer. The Gremlin also comes in 3 colors: green/black, yellow/blue, and red/orange/black. I got the tri-colored one.

What I didn't like about the Gremlin is its cap. It stays on, but there is a small hole that keeps the blaster from imploding, but also lets water squirt onto your shirt. Hey, what can you expect from a less than $5 blaster?

Overall: 9/10

No such thing as a surplus of reviews (well, if I get a million soaker review submissions, it might take awhile to post 'em all, but they'd go up eventually :goofy:).
