Soaker Sightings Reports - Early 2005 - ^
Where is this store, that would help a lot, selection varies by region, right?
Also, I found XP 270s (paired, $15 for both) at Toys R Us in Lancaster.
...or are you all saying, "who cares?"

Is it just me, or is this Monster that is in the online Toys R Us store the original Monster X?

They also have the CPS 4100 in stock.

If it's the one I pointed out some time ago, it's the later (third?) version of the MX.

Oh hey, thanks for resurrecting this topic. I meant to report a finding of my own. My local target has two or three SoakerTag 4100s being marketed as a Target Exclusive. Don't know if they're STE or not though, or some last years guns somebody found in a back room.

Wow! If I were in the US around where you were I would have picked up a 4100, as I really want one, and they are going for just too much on eBay at the moment. How much were they? Darn, if only they were in the UK as they seem to be out in stores in the US at present. Looks like I will still be waiting a while until I get my 4100 sadly which will happen eventually.
Darn eBay prices! :p

Last year I could only find them as a TRU exclusive. Was the designation on a Target ad/sticker or was it part of the package artwork?
Scratch that last question. Just called and found two Targets in my area stocking 4100's. They won't have anymore after tonight.

That might just be a cultural thing about the "Liberal" minded. Western Europe is generaly abit more "Liberal" than the blue states in the US. But no one there cares about dark colours on Soakers. Its just simply a pattern that countries with a gun culture and history like USA and Canada somewhat aswell, have to put toy guns in bright colours to avoid cops shooting kids which happed in the past. Western europe not having really a gun culture can afford having soakers in dark colours. Buzz Bee's german Carerra Cool devision soakers are mainly in black, grey and blue.Adrian wrote:The majority of people trying to ban evil, gun-looking toys are liberal-minded. And the Lightning recolor is dark enough to be gun-looking.
The Flash Flood is definitely worth the $20. It's like a CPS 2000 in pistol form. Serious, the power is totally comparable.

I guess I should go back to topic.
Wallmart sighting:
Krypton $29.99 CAN
Hydo Pack $19.99 CAN
Tripple shot $?
Six flag model $?
Zellers sighting:
Devestator $39.99 CAN (autsch)
Flash Flood $29.99 CAN
Liquidator $?
Some shield blasters $?
Six flag model $?

Target is carrying the full line of Super Soakers this year. It includes the CPS 4100 in same packaging as last year. They are indeed 2005 releases (not leftovers), for the body targets contain the wording "Soakertag Elite".
All figures in USD. Sorry I didn't get prices on all these.
CPS 4100 $29.99
CPS APD $29.99
CPS FF $19.99
Hydroblade ?
Triple Shot $9.99
Arctic Shock $14.99
Triple Aggressor $19.99
Max-D 2000 ?
Vaporizer ?
SW Wookie blaster ?
EDIT:
Sports Authority, Springfield, Illinois is (was) selling CPS 2100's for $7.99 USD. I assume other stores in the area are doing similarly. There were also newly released XP-310's in a purple/black color scheme with transparent green tank--alot better looking than the original, $9.99 USD each. Finally, if you're interested, double packs of Max-D 2000's with a couple of Soakerballs, didn't get the price but I'd estimate around $10 with single units going for $4.99.

Correct. Target has 4100's on sale for $19.99 until Saturday, June 25. Picked up quite a few today myself (and received credit for the ones I bought for $30 each a week ago )

Sorry they didn't have any.JJJJJJ272 wrote:i just went to target yesterday and i didn't see any 4100's. all they had were triple shots. (which i was actually quite impressed by)
I wasn't terribly impressed with the Triple Shot. The reservoir is very small. It won't fire worth squat when it's full. The flat/fan blast is mediocre. Finally, the one I bought stopped firing after 3 days of light use. Maybe it was a dud.
Now, the one thing I did like was the large nozzle. When I managed to get off a decent shot it was really heavy duty--okay duration, thick, and laminar. Couldn't get more than 2 shots like this from it before having to refill though.
Hello all.
It is my understanding that Target does not do special orders in the event that you cannot find a CPS4100 in stock. Target hoever can call the neighboring Targets and check if they carry the Super Soaker. Would anybody be so kind as to give a UPC number for us that cannot find the soaker?
Another trend I see is that the CPS4100 may just be regional. I live in California, but it seems that all of the auctions that list the new soakers are located in the midwest and south. Can somebody help me out here? Thanks

yes, it has a very small tank, but it shoots well for it's size.
ok anyways...
toys r us:
Flash floods
Arctic Shocks
xp270s
max-d 5000
some six flags junk
Aquarius:
it stopped working because of the max-d trigger. It seems like each day, they work less and less until they stop. Maybe the trigger mechanism on yours was weak, but, unfortunately, it's normal for them to stop working.
(my triple shot is starting to wear off and my flash flood wore off, and because it has a seperate pressure chamber, you can't control when it shoots, and it shoots about 2 feet.)
