I recently had the opportunity to use a Waterball blaster from WildPlanet, and it was one of the most enjoyable and unique soakers I have used. Check it out, its worth it. This blaster catapults a sphere of water like a bullet some distance, and is perfect for a dorm room or an office or something.

Uh.. that's not new... it's known by the community already. And please avoid using ALL CAPS in titles.

Title has been edited.

I'm not trying to start a fight but...

This gun in my opinion is Horrible (notice capital H). It shoots about 10 feet, catapults a drop of water a little larger than the end of my pinky and makes the biggest racket each time you pull the sliding trigger. My brother got one and we're returning it A.S.A.P

Waterballs are NOT "way fun" for 98% of users. Their bullets are, to the majority of users, balls of water a few angstroms larger than the rest of the globby mist they spray for 4 feet. I can spit harder, faster, and with more volume than most Waterballs shoot.

When it works, I've gotten close to 20' with one of those WaterBalls. However, the small size of the ball definitely makes them mostly pointless in most outdoor water fights. However, for an indoor one (assuming you have the facilities to accomodate a little wetness), it might be ok.

The ball of water does look neat, but not that exciting in the long run, IMO.

Umm.... the ball of water looks nothing like what it does in the website, and it barely goes five metres! I wouldn't use it, but that's me. Some people may love it!

I wasn't aware that people in this forum were so narrowly and somewhat angrily abstinent of other water fun. Obviously the Waterball is worthless in a fight... as you can see from my sig. I own many fight-worthy soakers. Waterball isn't about water war. It's about waking your roomate up and at the same time shooting a globule of water into his inner ear.

Chill out.

I suppose some members need to broaden their thoughts in some ways, but at the same time, when you entitle a post "New Kind of Watergun that is Way Fun!", the term water gun suggests water fight. I don't really consider a WaterBall a water gun... more of a water lobber. The physics behind how it works is basically akin to chucking a small cup of water at someone.

It's fun for some, yes. As this is mainly a water warfare forum, though, I'm not too surprised at the responses this device ellicited.

I would prefer a Water Hurler (see my Ultimate Story), over a Waterball gun anyday. Though, I bet it is a neat novetly gun.

The Waterball is a cool idea, but it was poorly executed. It appears that they discontinued the 265 (I can't imagine that it sold well) and replaced it with this ML 100. Mini-balls? Hmm, must be like a pea-shooted.

And yeah, WTF are those people wearing in the commercial? :O

lol, they do look awful. And I promise you guys will have fun landing one of those little balls on the top of someone's unsuspecting head if you give it a try. Its a neat little contraption at any rate. Now if only they can embed some sort of grain of gravity that would allow the ball of water to reach dimensions of a basketball...

Even for a little fun the range on the water ball isn't very good. you hae to aim it upward juts to get it far enough where it would hit someone.
