No,I am not kidding. He really did spend 50$ on a Aqua Pack Devastator. I think he wanted the 100 oz capacity. No wonder the Aqua Pack Devastator is the highest priced Super Soaker on the Soaker Tag Elite Line. :)

The retail value of the APD is $30. Your friend got ripped off. I would prefer to get a CPS 3200, with almost 300 oz. capacity, for $80 on eBay, than a APD for $50. But to each his own tastes. :goofy:

I did not even know a watergun that could hold 300oz even existed. How much does a CPS 2700 hold? I am probably going to get one off of ebay in a couple days.

The 2700 doesn't have a backpack, and holds around 140 ounces of water (more than the Aquapack Devastator holds WITH a backpack). Are you sure you'd be able to LIFT a 2700? It is very heavy when loaded, like 16+ pounds. The 2700 is a VERY good gun, but on the heavy side...

EDIT: Here's iSoaker's review of it. CPS 2700 Review

Here's the CPS 3200 Review: CPS 3200 Review

And here's the Aquapack Devastator Review: APD Review

I will defintaly be able to hold it,it comes with a strap to. As long as it does not weigh like 10 pounds more than a fully loaded CPS 1-3-5 blaster I will be able to carry it.I may be able to carry more but I do not know.

I would prefer a CPS 3200 for $20-40 on Ebay. :p Don't get ripped off with $80!
Personally, I think that a 2700 is pretty light. Everything for me is light except an MXL, which isn't truly heavy, just bulky. And if you want better capacity, you can always make your own backpack, with more capacity than any stock one.

I wonder if Hasbro is really going to discontinue the Aqua Pack Devastator. I think that it is a much better gun then some of the waterguns they have been continueing. I guess that the Aqua Pack Devastator has not been making enough money. What probably happened was people thinking why pay 30$ dollars for a Aqua Pack Devastator when you can get a Vaporizer for about 5$ dollars.

I dont think they got rid of the apd. I mean they still made the triple slacker and did not announce it. Though they have already put out a backpack blsater this year so this may mean no more Aqua Pack Davastator.

I think that the Aqua Pack Devastator is a great gun. If Hasbro does decide to get rid of it then that means that the Flash Flood will just have to be the only CPS soaker this year. :(

I think they got rid of it. The Overload is an obvious replacement, while arguably not as good. Keeping the APD would be Hasbro competing with Hasbro's own products. Not that I care, I won't be getting either. :;):

I do not think that Hasbro made a ton of money off the Aqua Pack Devastator or they would have continued making them like they did the Helix, Artic Shock, and the Flash Flood by bumbing Max Infusion in front of their name. I bet alot of people did not want to spend 30$ on a watergun, and down here in South Carolina you don't always find a bunch of Aqua pack Devastators on the self every time you go to Wal-Mart.
