Well this month keeps getting better and better. Bought this on craigslist for 40$ :


My first complete CPS 3000! Now I have 3 of them, one original backpack (With a piece of yellow hose to prevent kinking), and one homemade backpack I can use. I have a third backpack I should finish modifying, we'll see.

My latest soaker is DX's long abandon and mostly forgotten Blorca

it's not perfect as the trigger gets stuck open frequently and the intake tube needs clipping as it's position consistently draws air into the chamber (2007 version), but those a very quick fixes. Until you get to running 5x or larger settings (goodbye 0.6x) it holds it's own with my old Gorgon range wise using the stock Gorgon Mk2 plate he shipped it with. I'm thinking of testing a 1/8" setting in it using my old gorgon plate as I think that will yield the best range of any possible setting on it and them replace the second largest stream it on the new plate with one if that checks out.

As for stream consistency since it is my first HP weapon, it's much better than an AP gorgon but again at the expense of less forceful blasts on CPS class streams. Oddly larger streams appear less effected by chamber depletion than smaller ones.

Well, I recently took a trip down to Washington, USA, and I raided two Value Villages and a Goodwill. The first value village was unique in that it had the exit and entrance doors quite far apart on the building. The shelves were packed but disorganized. Didn't find anything older than 2010 at the first Value Village, mostly just basic Nerf crap like Recons, Mavericks, Stampedes... Basically yellow junk. I would have bought a Raider just for the drum and stock but I really didn't have the time or the cash. This was at the Value Village in Bellis Fair.

Then I headed just a bit further down the I5 to a value village in Mt. Vernon- close to the area which most people refer to as Burlington where all the good stores are, including a big Walmart , Costco, and several shoe stores with great prices. There was a Walmart and Costco at the last town as well, but they are lacking in quality just like the Value Village, as it turns out.

Well, I had no time for Walmart, sadly, but I did hit the Value Village there. The toy section was very well organized, but I couldn't find a single gun-like thing anywhere. Then I turned the corner and found a mountain of guns on top of a clothing rack:

Man were there some good guns! I saw a Lanard Hand Cannon, the rare cousin of the Triple Shot shotgun, a Blastzooka, a grey Marshmallow gun (very powerful, compact little air powered gun that shoots big marshmallows), and several other cool things including a modern Zombie Strike 2x4 shotgun.
Of course, what caught my eye at first were the two LTTO guns on top. (See the rare, yellow Deluxe?) But hidden underneath the pile I found:

Two Speedloader 1000 guns. Sweet! I would definitely go back to this value village again, I'm sure that there will be rare finds like these again.

See, it's not just in Canada that you can find goodies at thrift stores.

Welp, I saw this in Walmart today and couldn't resist, especially now that I have some extra money. I could use a new light primary anyway.



This is the first blaster I have acquired in about two years, haha. It's also the first new blaster I've bought from a store since 2010 when I picked up an Equalizer and Vanquisher for my brother's birthday.

Atta boy. I shot my Gargantua outside when I was home last weekend, and I was pretty impressed. The Gargantua is no CPS blaster but it's a noticeable step up from the recent WW air pressure blasters.

It is true cylindrical CPS - the chamber is just really short. It's also very competitive against soakers like the 1000/1200/2100 due to the fast pressurization and trigger, with high capacity. Nozzle modding should unlock its full potential.

He said "competitive," not the same as on par. Essentially, just that it can compete with, possibly even win under favorable circumstances. The rapid rate of fire really kept the 1000 user on their heels during our testing, but the large stream size of the 1000 eventually prevailed. It was close though.

The PC size and pump volume was surprisingly not as much of an issue, due to the quick trigger, and true CPS tech. If you tap shoot and pump a lot you actually have a much higher rate of fire than with the 1000. The Gargantua shot much much more than the 1000 did in our battles.

For anything smaller than 2x drilling is ok, but for anything larger drilling is really a thing of the past as the end result creates very turbulent shots. The best thing to do is to use a nylon spacer replacement. Saw off the original nozzle and just replace it with a nylon spacer. The shots are much more "laminar."

Hey M4 have you drilled out the quad on your Waterlord yet? I Typically do so with my WW guns and am generally pleased with the results, I use a 1/16th bore on them and it seems to push a fair bit more water that stock (4oz/s) vs 3.3 in a much larger stream head (more like a CPS 5X) and can clear the SAME ranges as the 2x setting not just close.

I drilled out the quad on my Waterlord and I don't remember seeing much of a range drop, but its been quite a while since I did that.

I've always been hesitant to drill out WW blasters, I've heard people say that their PCs aren't powerful enough and their tubing isn't large enough to push out a decent 5X stream or larger at a decent range.

Redd while the HP blasters (IE Blazer, Orca, Lightning, Tigershark and to a lesser extent Waterlord) do tend to fall on their faces on nozzles larger than 1/8th" (4oz/s) that is not the case with their AP blasters and true CPS guns (Vindicator, and Gargantuan) and quality nozzles can see them pushing 10x streams at 40' if the chamber is large enough. In fact the Gorgon is a dead heat against true CPS's on range and output with equal sized nozzles.

woo! got a new 1500! It had a broken pump shaft and one off the laminator plates kept rotating sideways in the laminator assembly so I replaced them with straws and replaced the shaft with the one from my dead 1500.

So I picked up a little something from craigslist recently. Take a look in this guy's trunk:

My first CPS 2700, complete with backpack! Also a red/yellow CPS 2700 and a CPS 1000 as icing on my cake.

There was supposed to be a SC 600 as well but the guy forgot to bring it. I might go back and pick it up, he was pretty cool and said I could have it.

This does feel a bit like cheating, but... I don't thrift as often as I used to and two of my most successful locations closed in the past couple of years, so I will take what I can get when I can get it!

Ninjedit: I forgot that I picked up a SS200 a long while back, so I'm throwing that on here while I'm at it:

Well actually, there are three guns, and they are all pretty stellar! A working CPS 2100 (bottom) and a pump shooting capless 2100 (top) for 5$ each plus a mini XP70! I will get around to fixing the CPS 2100 soon hopefully.

Wow DX! Thats amazing! I barley find CPS blasters on thrift stores nowadays. I just got a CPS 2500 working condition with strap for $36 a week ago. Also a CPS 2000 Mk1 in pristine condition for $180 which was pricey.
