Finally some range testing done

Post by isoaker » Tue Apr 19, 2011 9:09 am

Thanks to weekends and a bit o' better weather, managed to do some range testing. Granted, didn't get to test everything newer year, but got a bunch of blasters done nevertheless.

Ranges now available for:
Nerf Super Soaker Point Break
Nerf Super Soaker Tornado Strike
Nerf Super Soaker Thunderstorm
Nerf Super Soaker Scatter Blast
Nerf Super Soaker Hydro Cannon
Water Warriors Ultimate Bandit
Water Warriors Ultimate Outlaw
Water Warriors Ultimate Renegade
Water Warriors Ultimate Explorer
Water Warriors Ultimate Vanquisher

Range testing aside, all blasters seemed to behave as expected except for my Water Warriors Ultimate Vanquisher which seemed to suffer from some trigger-closing lag. The nozzle valve would remain open for roughly 0.5 to 1 second after trigger release. I can only suspect that the spring to close the valve is on the weak side. Not sure if this is a problem just for my blaster since the remainder of the Ultimate Water Warriors line's triggers all worked fine.

Enjoy!

I bought an Ultimate Explorer and your range backs up what I thought from fighting. My primary problem with the Explorer is that its shot time is so low, and since it's not CPS you get 2 shots at 40 feet before you have to repump. It's a good gun that could have been great.
