About a week ago I was at K-mart and I saw a reincarnated XP-70 soakertag edition. AN XP-70! Thats right hasbro, whatever you do don't bring back the CPS series, but old wimpy XPs are a must! This sickens me.
I'll bet my first soaker was worse than yours.

The xp70 is a good quality gun, if memory serves me right. That thing had a nice sting and excellent range.

The XP-70 is a good backup soaker, though the thing has a short shot time.

With a name like Manhole Mayhem, it has to be good...

it's a good backup if you have a cps gun as main weapon, but in non-cps skirmishes the thing dominates.

i would definetely pay ten for it, even if you have a good cps. this is the best backup ever made, in my opinion.

notice how they bring back there best sellers first? i think hasbro is bringing back either the best sellers or the ones that the major water warfare sites recommend as a good gun, if you were hasbro would you want ebay to make all the profits for older souper soakers?
also in my opinion i think the xp 70 is a good blaster, even though i don't have one.

Yeah, you'd think they'd at least bring back one good old CPS, like a legendary '98 or two. Oh well, all we can do now is hope that Hasbro re-release some better soakers soon. If they're re-releasing old XPs, chances are they may be planning on releasing some of the best soakers, like the 1998 or 2000 CPS line. Man, they were good years.........

O yes, they were VERY good years. If they brought back the old line of CPS blasters they'd have to strengthen the triggers(use metal), and also make the valve in the nozzle much stronger, and much smoother, so they dont jam backlwards so water spurts out.

Dude, the XP-70 is a great gun. Though it's not as good as its XP-95 counterpart, it may be, as aforementioned, one of the best backup rifles of all water guns.

It also has a blue PC and reservoir(transparent) and a green body. Is it better than a 270?

The XP 270 is basiclaly a clone of the XP 70 with a more streamlined shape and style. Adding to the quality and back-up effectivity that my fellow members have commented on, I'd buy the XP 70 simpyl for nostalgic value. I remember having one of them in 1998, the year when a huge portion of American households had a XP 70. Even though it wasn't the most powerful soaker of its time, it was the Super Soaker to have.

Thanks for the advice! They marked it down to 7 dollars so I got it. And my first mod was a success! I partially XPSed it.

They shouldn't make them metal because it will scrape away plastic near it causing it to leak , it would be extremely uncomfortable and it would rust if it was continusly soaked in waterfights. Yes they should make the trigger stronger but not out of metal.

Interestign but very risky for someone like me because I'm terrible at tech stuff. Most of the times I've tried to take apart a soaker I've broken them.

how many ballons did you put on? that may qualify as a balloon pc mod, depending on how many you used. would this mod work with a semi rectangular-roundish-very large pc and bigger balloons? i have a storm 2500 and am very disappointed by its lack of power. maybe if i got oddly shaped balloons...
