supersoaker.com Updated
Supersoaker.com (which is now just the Super Soaker section of the nerf website) has been updated. Click on the link and lol at the Thunderstorm commercial. I'll bet Hasbro had to make those kids act like they thought it was awesome. And apparently they used computers to make the streams look 5X instead of 0.00000000000000000000000001x.

Damn, that is powerful! I must trade in my CPS 2000 for one of those amazingly powerful guns that shoots as long as you hold the trigger!
JK! I will soak them all
I wonder if kids know that water guns will shoot for as long as you hold down the trigger? At least, they will if they are not hasbro's piston crap.
^as you can see, a 2k will own a piston gun LOL.

More like "soak you opponents if they stand right where they are and you have a few hours to continuously shoot at them, although you'll have to refill every few seconds."Thunderstorm wrote:Soak your opponents in an instant with this motorized THUNDERSTORM water blaster! Fully automatic for maximum speed, this blaster lets you just pull the trigger to begin the drenching action. Fill your water clip, attach it to your blaster and begin sending soaking streams up to 25 feet away!
...as if those puny streams could possibly hurt someone.Thunderstorm wrote:CAUTION: Do not aim at eyes or face...
I thought this stuff was seen a few decades ago.Thunderstorm wrote:...rapid fire water blasting like you've never seen!
That is, if 1x the soaking action = 1/5 of a squirt pistol.Scatterblast wrote:Get ready for five times the soaking action!

Well, you gotta admit the commercial, itself, isn't bad. The featured product, however, is another story... I'd still like to personally test one, but I ain't holding my breath based on the fan-videos I've seen. Now, when will BBT update...?

Actually, it does have promise. Depending on how much pressure that motor can handle, you might be able to replace a pump with it, to make something like the Scorpion. It *probably* won't work, but it is definitely a better reason to buy one than to actually shoot someone with it.

Re: supersoaker.com Updated
That would be pretty complicated to do.

I don't think it would be very hard to set up, I am more worried that the output of the motor wouldn't fill a PC quickly enough to be an improvement over the hand pump. If my target has them for <15$ I will try it.

I don't think the Thunderstorm is meant to pump pressure, so it would probably require a torque/voltage upgrade, plus it would take forever to pump up.

Re: supersoaker.com Updated
I saw the update some time ago, though never noticed that it was "new". It appears to at least give a run for the Tarantula. Of course the latter is probably still more powerful and has a reservoir capacity that's useful.
The commercial's ok. The music is awful, and the blaster mediocre. (Well, the blaster's terrible if you factor in the retail price.) Hasbro should be able to profiteer somewhat well off of the magazine (or clip, for those who like to refer to the tires on their cars as wheels, and the mice on their computers as thumbsticks), considering how little water each one holds.
