This is incredible. I can't wait to buy one. It's about time that some sort of anniversary edition water gun other than the SS50 was released.

Any word on potential prices and where/when it will be available?

As a note, the time on this board seems to be off. It's telling me it's 8:13 AM, when it's 10:21 AM. And my time zone is correct. Weird.

A neighbor at UPenn said he saw one of these in a Wal*Mart three days ago - the staff probably messed up the release date (it happens a lot with in the bookselling industry).

I had to change the time zone to -4 hours (not -5) with daylight savings on to get the right time. It's still 10 minutes behind, though. Maybe the server's time is off.

And this just happened to come out on April Fool's Day? When I see it in store, then I'll believe it.

Please excuse the following ddddddddaaaaaaaammmmmmmnnnnnnn! One of my worries is a lie cause its April Fools day but one of my biggest worries is that it will have a Max-D trigger... Wait didn't the XL come out in 2000? An 8th Anniversary edition?

It'll only be officially released in 2010, I'm guessing...the message was just a preview. But stores that had the older guns in their stock may have put them out on accident.

Hm... could it be that my predictions for 2008 are coming to pass? :o

Actually I kinda hope not, cuz I shelled a lot of money for the two I have now, and one of my biggest dreams was to go up to a bunch of kids at the store drooling over this thing, go up and take like TWO of them in my cart, but with 2 already in my possession, that'd be kinda dumb. lol Although... I suppose I could use them as extra artillery turrets on playgrounds. 8)

Happy April Fools (pt. 1) :goofy:

Thanks to all who help keep this going for as long as it did!

To all who actually believe it, sorry, but I've never received such an email (took some time to try to get the wording sound legit, though some parts of the "quote" look awkward to me. :goofy: ). I figured the date listed in the quote would give some a clue regarding its authenticity.

Gotta love April Fools....

Reading the "email", it would be awesome for a re release, but they probably don't have the facilities to make them anymore...
