I have been looking all around the internet for cps guns for quite some time now. I realize that ebay is the best place to look. The problem is, that I dont want to spend $300 for a cps2000( I dont think anybody does.) So I wrote a letter to Hasbro asking them to bring the cps guns back.(my friend did the same.) They wrote back basicly saying"thanks for writing" and included $9 of coupons.
I think that Hasbro would think about it more seriously if more than 2 peple from one location did this. Has anybody else ever written to them?
It wouold be great if loads of people wrote to them from all different places, please do!

Sadly, letters and/or petitions are not going to bring blasters like the CPS2000 back to the retail market. Even if Hasbro were to manufacture them, no retailer would be willing to carry them in the store due to the conditions of the current soaker market. There are so many reasons why blasters like the CPS2000 are not sold in retail these days with none of them having to do with companies not wanting to sell them. There just isn't a large enough consumer base wanting larger water guns despite what many in the community think. Things are hopefully changing for the better, but we're presently in a downturn in terms of people interested in water warfare which has less to do with stock soakers and much more to do with people spending their money on other things like MP3 players, video games, etc.
As for paying $300 for a CPS2000, as that's what they've been selling for on eBay, obviously someone out there is willing to pay (though I, personally, wouldn't recommend it).
For a great discussion on things, read this thread at SSCentral, not just the first post, but the whole thread, in particular the posts by Peter_MJ.
