Just for fun:

Without checking any water blaster website, what do you think the first pressurized Super Soaker to use a screw cap instead of a screw-on bottle to hold in the pressure was?

Were this about just using screw caps, you'd be right! (Unless one were to count the Super Soaker XTC caps for the spare SS 50 bottles).

However, the screw caps for the SS 300 keep the water in the reservoir, but aren't responsible for holding pressure since the SS 300 has separate pressure chambers. Try again!

I'm going to guess XP 20/40.

I feel like the year with the XP 20, 40, 70, and 110 is too obvious of an answer. There must have been something before that, but I'll be darned if I can remember.

Anyone heard of the XP 15 ? :xp15wblink:

I didn't break the rules but it took a while to remember.

I thought the XP 15 had a removable reservoir. If it does have a cap, does that mean the SS 10 does too? Because that's even older. I don't own either of them so I don't know. :p

SS 10! Also, the screw caps on the SS 300 are annoying. If you bend over you will spill water all over yourself. Gotta be some kinda mod to fix that. Someone get on that!

Indeed, the Super Soaker SS10 is the first pressurized Super Soaker using a cap to seal in the pressure as opposed to a screw on bottle.

Now, if we're talking about all known pressurized water blasters that used a screw cap to hold in the pressure, the Cosmic Liquidator would take that crown again with its screw cap (+ pump) serving to pressurize and hold in the pressure until the trigger was depressed.
