iSoak'D 058 - Coincidence

Sidenote: In 2002, the original Aquatica closed while the remaining attempt at keeping Aquatica alive (a.k.a. Aquatica 2) closed in 2003.

Of course, in 2003, Super Soaker Central began so it wasn't all bad! :goofy:

Ah Aquatica, good memories.

Why did you have to remind me about the EES series though? :P

That would just be cruel! :goofy: With a rpzie in place like that, that may make people opt not to participate at all for fear of receiving one. :goofy:

You could use an EES Blaster for a prop in an amateur sci-fi movie or play. That's about it.

I never used an EES gun actually. How do they compare to this past year's lineup?

The Turbine's stream mode is comparable to a diseased XP70, but in pulse mode it's kind of reasonable. I've only used the Gorgon from this past year, and Gorgon vs. EES Turbine is too easy for the Turbine :P

Apart from the newly released Super Soaker Hydro Cannon, I have a feeling that the EES series actually outperform the remainder of the Nerf Super Soaker line (this year and last year). If one disables the sound/light effects, I actually don't mind the performance I've gotten out of the EES Sonic and EES Turbine. The EES Tempest is not as good as the other two, but that doesn't say much, either. :goofy:

It's interesting to compare the reaction of the community to EES and the community to Nerf Super Soakers.

2003: Oh, what the HELL IS THIS?! Spinning lights!!! Well I guess we should just wait until next year, because everyone knows Hasbro releases good CPS guns on even years.

...

2011: Hey, check it out, this one is battery powered. So lame. Well I guess we should just wait until next year because...wait. No, we don't expect anything better.

This should be a comic unto itself.

The EES Sonic is a fun piston-based side-arm if you throw away the batteries.

You mean the oversized, reduced capacity Half-a-Flash-Flood Blaster?

yes, but it wasn't released on an even year, for that matter, ever since the "CPS" series ended they only released new cps blasters on odd years, oddly :goofy:

not saying that they really were anything worth mentioning, but whatever
