Re: Spot the Diff?
Hmm, let's see. Oh yeah, on the top one it says it blast up to forty two feet but the bottom one supposedly blasts up to forty five feet. Dibs on the bottom one plz lol! Also the weight is different. And on one it says WW"s farthest blasting blaster.

Also, one is missing a strap.

Also, the yellow piece going around the reservoir is different between the two.

Re: Spot the Diff?
Kudos to you, isoaker, you lucky devil, getting the new models early, but I guess if you're in contact with BBT getting new soakers is old hat.
Why do you have two different models of the same soaker?

Re: Spot the Diff?
That question is actually part of the reason I posted these pics. There is a very simple reason for the difference between these two models, but wanted to see what members could tell from these initial pics alone. I'll post up a few more pics soon to give more clues._steel_boot_ wrote:Why do you have two different models of the same soaker?
As for thinking of things as "old hat", nope, never do. I really enjoy and appreciate the opportunities I've been given from the various manufacturers/companies I've dealt with over the years.

Re: Spot the Diff?
The light blue casing is a bit different here and there, especially on the top and front. The nozzle selector is shorter on the first pic.
Oh, I think the main difference is that the second vindicator is a larger version (more pounds when filled).

Clue #2: Close-up of bottom one's nozzle selector.
Clue #3 Close-up of bottom one's reservoir area.

Re: Spot the Diff?
Do they have different trigger handles by any chance, considering that you haven't shown them in any of the pictures?
Re: Spot the Diff?
The trigger handles are in the pics above. The board just cuts off the right side of the picture if your browser window is too narrow. The triggers, though, are slightly different.mr. dude wrote:Do they have different trigger handles by any chance, considering that you haven't shown them in any of the pictures?
Most have spotted various differences, but not the "key" difference between these two blasters.

Re: Spot the Diff?
The bottom one looks like it has a higher capacity, but not according to the box, and the pressure systems are hydro-power on both, so that rules out different PCs. I'm all out of guesses.

Re: Spot the Diff?
Is the second Vindicator a prototype/fake one? Looking at some parts it does not seems to be made out of plastic (It is painted). Maybe a wooden prototype or something.

While not particularly evident in the side-profile box pic, the 2nd Vindicator, while 100% to scale, is also a 100% non-functional hand sample. It's not technically a prototype since, well, prototypes should shoot. This one, while not made of wood (I believe it is made of moulded plastic), lacks any functional internals, making it good to showing someone how the blaster looks and generally feels to hold. However, the trigger doesn't pull and the nozzle selector doesn't rotate. Interestingly, the reservoir cap can be unscrewed. I'll post some more neat pics of this model soon.
